13 Years of Purpose and Progress
The 13th Foundation Day of Maahi Milk Producer Organisation, celebrated on 18th March in Rajkot, reflects the continued efforts of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) in building strong, farmer-owned dairy institutions across the country.
Through its wholly owned subsidiary, NDDB Dairy Services (NDS), NDDB has played a pivotal role in nurturing Maahi into a robust Milk Producer Organisation—driving structured growth, strengthening value chains, and enabling sustainable livelihood opportunities for small and marginal dairy farmers.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Meenesh C Shah, Chairman, NDDB & NDS, highlighted how institutions like Maahi are central to NDDB’s vision of creating a resilient and inclusive dairy ecosystem, while contributing meaningfully to rural prosperity.
The launch of the Cattle Feed Supply Chain Application marked a significant step towards efficient supply management and assured feed availability for farmers. The introduction of new feed products- MaahiCal Gold, Maahi SuperFat and Maahi Min Forte to support animal nutrition and health further highlighted Maahi’s commitment to technology-enabled, farmer-first solutions.
As Maahi completes 13 years, it stands as a strong example of NDDB’s and NDS’s sustained commitment to strengthening the cooperative movement by building scalable, self-reliant, and professionally managed farmer organisations thereby driving long-term rural transformation.
On behalf of the organisation, Chief Executive Shri Alok Kumar Gupta expressed his sincere gratitude to every milk producer member, employee, partner, and well-wisher who continue to be part of this journey.
