Had a great session of Substance abuse prevention awareness with grade 11 students of Shakti School, today morning.

It gives an ache to heart when students stand up to ask how to help father overcome gutka / smoking addiction.

Studies say that most addicts start their experimentation with substances during the age of High School or College.

This can be prevented only if we equip our teenagers with information and skills to refrain from the very first indulgance with smoking, alcohol or substances.

# An Initiative by Rajkot IMA #

In an effort to curb the menace of substance (to***co, alcohol and drug) abuse by our teens and youths, IMA Rajkot has come up with an awareness activity by our expert volunteers from various medical specialities, exclusively for students of colleges and high school.

This consists of a 30-40 minute talk with ppt on hazardous impacts of substances and empowerment of youths to refrain from experimentation and abuse of substaces.

અભ્યાસો કહે છે કે મોટાભાગના વ્યસનીઓ હાઈસ્કૂલ અથવા કૉલેજની ઉંમર દરમિયાન પદાર્થો સાથે તેમના પ્રયોગો શરૂ કરે છે.

જો આપણે આપણા કિશોરોને ધૂમ્રપાન, આલ્કોહોલ અથવા માદક દ્રવ્યોના પ્રથમ પ્રયોગથી દૂર રહેવા માટે માહિતી અને કૌશલ્યોથી સજ્જ કરીએ તો જ આ દુષણને અટકાવી શકાય છે.

આપણા કિશોરો અને યુવાનો દ્વારા પદાર્થ (તમાકુ, આલ્કોહોલ અને માદક દ્રવ્ય)ના દુરુપયોગના જોખમને કાબૂમાં લેવાના પ્રયાસરૂપે, IMA રાજકોટે વિવિધ તબીબી શાખાઓના નિષ્ણાત સ્વયંસેવકો દ્વારા કોલેજો અને હાઈસ્કૂલના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે જાગૃતિ અભિયાન શરુ કરેલ છે.

આમાં પદાર્થોની ખતરનાક અસરો પર ppt સાથે 30-40 મિનિટની વાતચીતનો સમાવેશ થાય છે અને યુવાનોને પદાર્થોના પ્રયોગો અને દુરુપયોગથી દૂર રહેવા માટે સશક્તિકરણ કરવામાં આવે છે.
