DASII (developmental assessment scale in Indian infants): it is only standardized developmental test in indian children, which assesses motor development in five domains and mental deve

lopment in ten domains. Vineland 2: adaptive behavioural scale in children to assess their functional level. VSMS: it measures the social quotient of the child, especially used in cerebral palsy and mental retardation patients to know the level of their social independence. Speech and language therapy: for children with developmental speech delay, post hearing aids, children having clarity issues etc. We provide home based monthly programs for the out station patients of Autism, learning disability, ADHD etc. and other developmental disorders.

1. Set up a room or a place for home based therapy.
2. Buy Interactive books (books with more pictures and less content)
3. Take pictures of:
Child, family members, house, with in the house, outside the house, around the house, Stores, Petrol bunk/Gas station, Malls, Road, Sky, Clouds, Rain, Sun, Moon, Trees, leaves, Water, Fire, Dirty, Wet, Danger, Doctor, Police, Fire fighter, Teacher, School, Therapist, Family friends, Zoo, Haircut, Park, Play area, street, Money, Swimming pool, Baby, Boy, Girl, Time, Phone, Clock, Poisons, Theater, Traffic, Night, Day time, Bedroom, bathroom, Kitchen, Dress(pants, underpants, shirt...), Toys, Body parts, family members pictures, Emotions, Games, Alphabets, Numbers, Vegetables, Fruits, Vehicles, Animals, Birds, Shapes, Food, Breakfast items, Lunch items, Dinner items, Drinks, Snacks, appliances, Actions and Action words...etc.

Prepare four sets of pictures:
Use as Flash Cards
Prepare charts and paste it on all the walls in your house. (charts)
Save as back up
Save as Pictures in your PC to show your child as many times as you can.

4. Take/Create a video of all the material discussed in step 3. (Use dubbing or back ground voice (male and female) for each picture)

5. Take pictures of child's or siblings or parents daily activities: 1. Child sleeping 2. Child Brushing teeth 3. Child washing face 4. Child's bath 5. Child activities 6. Child play 7. Child eating breakfast, snacks... 8. Child drinking water, juice...9. Child crying 10, Child's other activities like bike riding, swimming and all the daily needs.

6. Take/Create a video of all the things discussed in step 5. (Use dubbing or back ground voice for each activities)

7. Set up music therapy at home with children songs, rhymes etc...

8. Prepare positive, negative re-inforcers AND prepare/implement cause-effect methods. (method to teach: You do this - you will get this)

9. Set up a mirror to increase imitation skills in children. The best places for placing mirror...1. Bathroom 2. Therapy room 3. Dining room 4. Bedroom 5. Living room 6. Play room and most important a hand mirror to check the emotions right away.

10. Prepare audio files of:
All the letter sounds, vowel sounds
Child name
Mom, Dad, Siblings, Family members
Body parts, family members pictures, Emotions, Games, Alphabets, Numbers, Vegetables, Fruits, Vehicles, Animals, Birds, Shapes, Food, Breakfast items, Lunch items, Dinner items, Drinks, Snacks.
All interested toy names, game names, activity names
All the other words used in daily activities
Run these audio files in any player (But child should not reach the player). The sound should be somewhere in the background. Run each files multiple times everyday. Try to be interactive to show the function or object in sync with the sound.

11. Prepare a plan for teaching. (Fine Motor, Visual Motor, Oral Motor, Self Care, Sensory, Motor Planning, Gross Motor, Speech, Occupational, Social and Educational)

Buy puzzles, interactive books, Interactive toys, Balls (basket ball, soccer ball, tennis ball, Soft balls, Plastic (all the colors)), balloons, Big Lego's, Pretending toys, Toy - cars, trucks, musical instruments, magnets, top, stickers, play dough, bus, workbench, Stacking cups, train, phone, popping toys, animal toys, airplane, boat etc etc...

12. Take the kid to all the places when ever and where ever possible. Do not keep the child at home all the time. (please). If any one say something, please respond "My kid is a slow learner, he is kinda tired. We are working and helping him". If they ask too many questions, ask the persons phone number and address or ignore them.

13. Evaluate for every 1 month.

14. Do not try any exploiting treatments for the child.

15. CREATE RULES AT HOME.

16. Steps need to be taken:
1. Talk to teachers/therapists about your concerns.
2. Discuss education plan for your child with therapist.
3. What kind of services are provided at School/Therapy center/Home ?

19. Please take child to all the social places. (parks, street, family friends, theater, rides, restaurant etc...)

20. Senses: Please help your child to see all things, touch all things, smell all things, listen all sounds, taste all foods. (depends on limitations). This should be done everyday.

21. Teach Swimming, Basketball, Cycle riding, Ball catch and throw, Skating, Music, rock climbing, martial arts and all the activities....

22. Parallel Talk: Show Your Child What You Mean, Video modelling and keep talking along with gestures
