Breaking the barriers of state , language , religion cast etc etc a noble family of Sahebganj ( Jharkhand ) has given our state yet another reason to be proud of .
The kidney of (name ) resident of Sahebganj , Jharkhand has been donated ( after brain death declaration in Goa ) and saved two different lives. Dean , Goa medical college came forward to arrange air transit from Goa to Ranchi and then to his native place .
As soon as this information is received by State’s Senior Nephrologist and renal transplant physician Dr Amit Kumar ( DM Nephrology, SGPGI , Lucknow ) , he contacted and met the bereaved family to express deep gratitude for the extraordinary gesture shown by the generous family. His brother and family was felicitated with flower bouquet and token amount of appreciation to support the family in times of need . Dr Amit Kumar requests our government to come forward and help us in helping the needy so that the organ donation system can be made smooth and large number of patients can be benefited .
We request our residents of Jharkhand to be aware of the program and last but not the least , we salute the noble family for their generosity .
