He Lost His Tongue, But Not His Courage
When he came to us, he was diagnosed with Stage IV tongue cancer.
Speaking was painful. Eating was almost impossible.
We had to remove almost the entire tongue (Sub-total glossectomy) to save his life.
What followed was a long, difficult journey — speech therapy, swallowing rehabilitation, and countless moments of doubt.
But courage can rebuild what cancer takes away.
A few months later, this same patient did something truly inspiring —
He appeared for a job interview for the post of a manager, and is now waiting for the results.
That’s not just recovery…
That’s resilience, rehabilitation, and hope at its finest.
This story isn’t about surgery — it’s about the human spirit that refuses to give up.
And it reminds us that early detection can change what courage alone cannot.
If you notice a persistent ulcer, patch, pain, or difficulty in tongue movement, please don’t ignore it.
One early check can change a life’s story forever.
