What is the difference between a Physical Workout and a Yoga asana?

Movements produced by the Skeletal & Muscular systems require energy expenditure which is the definition of a Physical Workout, whereas an Asana (a posture) is a steady and comfortable position.

Unlike Physical Workouts, ‘Sweat’ is not the Goal of Asana practice; the Goal is to allow yourself to hold steady in one posture while maintaining a constant connection with your breath. This practice requires Strength, Mobility, and Flexibility equivalent to Physical Workouts.

Both these movements benefit the Mental and the Physical body, but they differ in their preparation.
