✨️Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna are the three primary nadis (subtle energy channels) in yogic philosophy that carry prana (life force) throughout the body🧬
Ida Nadi 🌙(Lunar/Left) represents the feminine, calming, creative, and intuitive aspects. It is associated with the left nostril, cooling energy, and right-brain activity.
Pingala Nadi ☀️(Solar/Right) represents the masculine, logical, active, and heating energy. It is associated with the right nostril and left-brain activity.
Sushumna Nadi 🌀(Central) is the central channel within the spine extending from the root chakra to the crown chakra. It remains dormant while the left and right nadis are active, and is activated when Ida and Pingala are balanced
Ida and Pingala represent the dualities of life, similar to yin and yang. Their balance brings mental clarity, better physical health, and optimal functioning in the world.
When the Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) or other yoga practices balance the Ida and Pingala, prana flows through the central Sushumna channel, leading to higher consciousness. 🙏🏻🤍
