Hands-Only CPR

Let’s celebrate the rich heritage of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders and help change the future of health by learning Hands-Only CPR. If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest.

Do you know what your blood pressure numbers mean?

A reading of 140/90 or higher may mean you have high blood pressure. Hypertension often has no symptoms, so regular checks are essential for early detection and timely care.

In the Western Pacific Region, millions of adults are affected by hypertension – but many are unaware they have it.

Check your pressure. Protect your future.

EMS Student save instructor's life

🚨 Training turned into a real-life rescue, and these students were ready. 🚨

During a late March training exercise at Fox Valley Technical College, EMS instructor Karl Arps was demonstrating the symptoms of a heart attack when the unthinkable happened: he suffered a real cardiac arrest right in front of his students.

At first, they thought he was acting, until they noticed the signs. Within moments, the class sprang into action. Under the leadership of fellow instructor Traci Blondeau, students called 911, removed Arps from the training ambulance, and took turns performing CPR until help arrived.

Karl survived what he described as a “widow maker” heart attack and was out of the hospital within a week, thanks to the quick thinking and lifesaving skills of his students.

💙 This is why CPR training matters.
💙 This is what preparedness looks like.
💙 This is proof that preparedness turns training into lifesaving action.
