Manas Memorial Education Trust was born in 1998,with an intention to shape a Non-Govt. philanthropic Organization with some dedicated, committed and enthusiastic likeminded persons and started working in the field of Education, Health, safety, environment, Socio-economic development such as Plantation, Vocational training with skill up gradation programme, Placement linked Training Programmes such as free Computer Training, Carpentry, Elementary Education, Safety awareness programme, (Fire Safety, Home Safety, Road Safety etc.). Manas Memorial Education Trust has classified its activities under the Brand name of “CHINMAYA” to run General Education under Chinmaya Academy, Technical Education under Chinmaya Technical Academy and service activities in the name of Chinmaya Seva Mission. MMET (Manas Memorial Educational Trust) founded on 23rd December 1998 in the memory of Manas Ranjan Dash Mohini S/o. Trinath Dash Mohini, with an intention to serve the mankind through education and awareness. Chinmaya Techinical Academy is the technical wing under Manas Memorial Educational Trust. It has established its repute in the country and students across different states like Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh and West Bengal are presently undergoing training successfully. Chinmaya ITI and Chinmaya Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering are affiliated by N.C.V.T., D.G.E.&T., Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India and O Level Courses under Chinmaya Infotech wing of CTA is affiliated by NIELIT, Government of India. It has diversified its technical education into three wings. i.e.:
1. Chinmaya Industrial Training Institute.
2. Chinmaya Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering
3. Chinmaya Infotech

It is permanently affiliated to N.C.V.T., D.G.E&T., Govt. of India and recognized by D.T.E.&T, Govt. of Orissa, which provides craftsman level training in the Fitter, Electrician. Chinmaya ITC is a quality based technical institution which aims at imparting the best possible education and training under the principle of "WORK IS WORSHIP". Manas Memorial Educational Trust (MMET) has diversified its technical education into three wings. One of them is “CHINMAYA INFOTECH”. Manas Memorial Education Trust (MMET) was established in the year 1998 with a purpose to spread professional education in a systematic way. CHINMAYA INFOTECH was started in the year 2002 under the branch of CTA with Regd.No: 1869/801/98. The Governing Body of the trust constitutes the group of life members of chinmaya Mission who are dedicated with service attitude and are committed to provide best education and training to its students and trainees. The Governing Body has appointed a group of technical persons who are responsible in managing the institute for achieving the objectives of parent organization, i.e. Chinmaya Academy. 'O' level course provided by Chinmaya Infotech is affiliated to NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology). Chinmaya Public School is the wing of MMET providing general education ie. Elementary Schooling.
