NEPHROLITHIASIS AND ITS HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINES
Nephrolithiasis, or kidney stones, is the most common condition affecting the urinary system. It is the result of a crystal or crystalline concretion traveling from the kidney through the genitourinary system.Kidney stones correlate with an increased risk of chronic kidney diseases, end-stage renal failure, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and hypertension.Kidney stones are hard deposits of minerals and acid salts that stick together in concentrated urine.
CAUSES -.Kidney stones developed when urine has a high concentration of minerals and other substances like calcium, oxalate, and uric acid that come together to make crystals. Crystals stick together to make one or more stones. Stones happen when your urine doesn’t have enough fluid and other substances to keep them from happening. Possible causes include drinking too little water, exercise (too much or too little), obesity, weight loss surgery, or eating food with too much salt or sugar. Infections and family history might be important in some people. Eating too much fructose correlates with increasing risk of developing a kidney stone.

TYPES OF RENAL STONE –
CALCIUM STONE Most kidney stones are calcium stones, usually in the form of calcium oxalate. Some calcium phosphate stones are caused by overactive parathyroid glands, which are located on the four corners of your thyroid gland, just below your Adam's apple. When these glands produce too much parathyroid hormone (hyperparathyroidism), your calcium levels can become too high and kidney stones may form as a result.
STRUVITE STONE Struvite stones form in response to urinary tract infection. These stones can grow quickly and become large. If not treated, they can alter function of the kidneys over time.
URIC ACID STONE Uric acid stones can form in people who are dehydrated, eat a diet high in protein or those who have Gout.
SYMPTOMS –

PREVENTION -
It is always better to take prevention before kidney stones start as it really causes pain and discomfort in daily life. With urine color it can be identified if it is diluted or concentrated, the darker the urine is, the more concentrated it is. A person’s urine in the morning is generally a dark yellow color as it contains waste products produced overnight.
Drinks like tea, coffee, and fruit juice can count towards your fluid intake, but water is the healthiest option and is best for preventing kidney stones. Putting habit of some below-listed action may help listed below
• Drinking enough water every day. Make habit of drinking up to 3 liters.
• Water with fresh lemon juice intake also helps.
• Avoid Calcium-rich diet and other diets having rich in minerals.
