Between starting to grow and falling out , each hair passes through four stages ie. Anagen(growing phase), Catagen(transition phase), Telogen(resting phase) and Exogen(new hair phase). Every hair is at a different stage of the growth cycle. Problem arises when the anagen stage decreases due to various reasons. Hair transplantation (F.U.T. AND F.U.E.).
Hair transplantation is a surgical technique that moves individual hair follicles from a part of the body called the 'donor site' to bald or balding part of the body known as the 'recipient site'. In this minimally invasive procedure, grafts containing hair follicles that are genetically resistant to balding are transplanted to the bald scalp. FUT: The FUT process involves removing a small strip of tissue from the back of the head, from which the donor hair follicles will be extracted. The hair follicles are harvested from the strip by our skilled clinical team before being individually transplanted to the recipient areas. In most cases, and especially cases of advanced hair loss, FUT is the preferred method because it allows the physician to fully utilize the scalp area to deliver results consistent with patient expectations.
FUE : In an FUE hair transplantation, each follicular unit is individually taken directly from the scalp with no strip of tissue being removed. Hair follicles are removed and randomly implanted by our specialized surgeon.
The creation of recipient sites and the placing of follicular unit grafts are essentially the same in both FUE and FUT procedures. The difference lies in the quality and quantity of grafts obtained with each technique.
