MGP Agro & Medicare Pvt Ltd is an agriculture and healthcare based organisation. It was founded by Mr G.Palanivel in 1996 basically as an initative to begin the cultivation of herbal plants of high medicinal value in Tamil Nadu. It started with 5 acres of coleus forshkolin in salem district of Tamil Nadu and later diversified with various medicinal crops from coleus, turmeric etc.. over the south Indian states grazing over peak cultivation of 10,000 acres/ year . The company now has the trust of more than 6000 farmers over the southern states of India and is providing various technical supports in cultivation, sourcing of organic and semi-organic manures and federation benefits to them in the form of "MGP AGROMED CENTRES" distributed throughout the southern states. The company has also launched its next venture of marketing the healthcare products prepared from these herbal extracts and organically produced food products to the farmers and their community directly through these agromed centres. MGP Agro & Medicare Pvt Ltd has always been instrumental in providing better exposure to the toiling farmers and bring them to a better state of living.
