BERBERIS VULGARIS Q- Berberis Vulgaris is an excellent remedy for gall stone colic and also for the removal of stones. It is of great help for treating sharp, stitching pains in the gall bladder. The pain may get worse from applying pressure.
BELLADONNA 30- Belladonna is very effective for acute gall stone colic. It can be repeated often till the pain disappears.
CHINA 30—China is another excellent remedy for acute pain in gall bladder when abdomen is bloated with excess of gas. The whole abdomen is full of gas with a painful distension. Walking may provide a slight relief from distension. Here the pain is more at night. Vomiting of undigested food may occur.

Fats. Although fats (particularly saturated fats found in meats, butter, and other animal products) have been associated with gallstone attacks, Fiber. High intake of fiber has been associated with a lower risk for gallstones. Nuts. Studies suggest that people may be able to reduce their risk of gallstones by eating more nuts (peanuts and tree nuts, such as walnuts and almonds).
Fruits and Vegetables. had the lowest risk of developing symptomatic gallstones that required removal of the gallbladder.
Lecithin. Lecithin is a key component of bile. It contains choline and inositol, two compounds that are important for the breakdown of fat and cholesterol. Low levels of lecithin may precipitate the formation of cholesterol gallstones. Dietary lecithin is available in health food stores and is found in eggs, soybeans, liver, wheat germ, and peanuts. There is no evidence, however, that lecithin supplements or foods containing it can prevent gallstones in humans.
Sugar. High-intake of sugar has been associated with an increased risk for gallstones.
Alcohol. A few studies have reported a lower risk for gallstones with alcohol consumption. Preventing Gallstones during Weight Loss Maintaining a normal weight and avoiding rapid weight loss are the keys to reducing the risk of gallstones

Pityriasis alba is a skin disorder that mostly affects children and young adults. The exact cause is unknown. However, it’s believed that the condition may be associated with eczema, a common skin disorder that causes scaly, itchy rashes.
People with pityriasis alba develop red or pink patches on their skin that are usually round or oval. They often leave pale marks on the skin after the redness has faded.
Causes--The exact cause of pityriasis alba isn’t known. However, it’s commonly considered a mild form of atopic dermatitis, a type of eczema.
Eczema may be caused by an overactive immune system that responds to irritants aggressively. The skin’s ability to act as a barrier is reduced in people with eczema. Normally, the immune system ignores normal proteins and only attacks the proteins of harmful substances, such as bacteria and viruses. If you have eczema, however, your immune system may not always distinguish between the two, and instead attack healthy substances in your body. This causes inflammation. It’s similar to having an allergic reaction.
Most people outgrow eczema and pityriasis alba by early adulthood.
Symptoms--People with pityriasis alba get round, oval, or irregularly shaped patches of pale pink or red skin. The patches are usually scaly and dry. They may appear on the: face, which is the most common place, upper arms, neck, chest and back
Pale pink or red spots may fade into light-colored patches after several weeks. These patches usually clear up within a few months, but they can last for several years in some cases. They’re more noticeable in the summer months when the surrounding skin becomes tan. This is because the pityriasis patches don’t tan. Wearing sunscreen may make the patches less noticeable in the summer months. The light patches are also more noticeable in people with darker skin.
Risk factors---Age--Pityriasis alba is most common in children and adolescents. It occurs in approximately 2 to 5 percent of children. It’s most frequently seen in children between the ages of 6 and 12 years. It’s also very common in children with atopic dermatitis, an itchy inflammation of the skin.
Heat--Pityriasis alba often appears in children who take hot baths frequently or who are exposed to the sun without sunscreen. However, it’s unclear if these factors cause the skin condition.
Humid climate – precipitates dryness of the skins

Skin soaps – without knowing, children and young adults may have acute reactions to skin soaps which they are not usually using

Asthma – skin asthma has manifestations similar to the symptoms of pityriasis alba

Clothing detergents – some products are not hypoallergenic that it can result to skin irritation thus leading skin disorders

HOMEOPATHY FOR TINEA UNGUIUM

Tinea unguium is a common type of fungal infection. It is also called onychomycosis. The fungus infects the fingernails and, more commonly, the toenails. It is more common in men, older adults, and people who have diabetes, psoriasis, peripheral vascular disease, or another health problem that weakens the immune system.
Tinea unguium is increasingly prevalent with increased age and spreads from tinea pedis or less often, tinea manuum. It may affect one or more toenails and/or fingernails and most often involves the great toenail or the little toenail. It is often confused with non-infected nail dystrophy due to skin disease, particularly psoriasis, also dermatitis, lichen planus, viral warts, ageing process.
Causes
Tinea unguium is most often due to Trichophyton rubrum and T. interdigitale. It should be distinguished from other causes of onychomycosis:
• Candida species, which often cause paronychia.
• Moulds including Scpulariopsis brevicaulis, Fusarium spp,. Alternaria, Acremonium, Scytalidinum dimidiatum and Scytalidinium hyalinum.
It can be present as several different patterns:
• Lateral onychomycosis. A white opaque streak appears at one side of the nail.
• Subungual hyperkeratosis. Scaling occurs under the nail.
• Distal onycholysis. The end of the nail lifts up. The free edge often crumbles.
• Superficial white onychomycosis. Flaky white patches and pits appear on the top of the nail plate.
• Proximal onychomycosis. Yellow appear in the half-moon. (lunula).
• Complete destruction of the nail.
Symptoms
Signs and symptoms are:
• Thickened.
• Whitish to yellow-brown discoloration.
• Brittle, crumbly or ragged.
• Distorted in shape.
• A dark color, caused by debris building up under the nail.

DESCRIPTION—The toxic serum of the Eel, a ray-finned fish with long , slender snake like body, laterally compressed at the posterior end , and reaching a length of 0.6 meter. The scales are minute and embedded in the yellowish- brown skin, thus giving it a smooth appearance. Eel serum is a yellowish to greenish –yellow , opalescent liquid, it may be pink due to a slight hemolysis.
DISTRIBUTION---Occupies most of the rivers of eatern North America from the southern Great Plains to the Atlantic Coast, from southern Greenland and Labrador to northern South America, and in the Missippi Valley as far north as MINNESOTA and South America.

HOMOEOPATHY FOR CHIKUNGUNYA..

Chikungunya is a mosquito-borne viral disease first described during an outbreak in southern Tanzania in 1952. It is an RNA virus that belongs to the alphavirus genus of the family Togaviridae. The name “chikungunya” derives from a word in the Kimakonde language, meaning “to become contorted”, and describes the stooped appearance of sufferers with joint pain (arthralgia).
Signs and symptoms
Chikungunya is characterized by an abrupt onset of fever frequently accompanied by joint pain. Other common signs and symptoms include muscle pain, headache, nausea, fatigue and rash. The joint pain is often very debilitating, but usually lasts for a few days or may be prolonged to weeks. Hence the virus can cause acute, subacute or chronic disease.
Most patients recover fully, but in some cases joint pain may persist for several months, or even years. Occasional cases of eye, neurological and heart complications have been reported, as well as gastrointestinal complaints. Serious complications are not common, but in older people, the disease can contribute to the cause of death. Often symptoms in infected individuals are mild and the infection may go unrecognized, or be misdiagnosed in areas where dengue occurs.
Transmission
Chikungunya has been identified in over 60 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
The virus is transmitted from human to human by the bites of infected female mosquitoes. Most commonly, the mosquitoes involved are Aedes aegypti andAedes albopictus, two species which can also transmit other mosquito-borne viruses, including dengue. These mosquitoes can be found biting throughout daylight hours, though there may be peaks of activity in the early morning and late afternoon. Both species are found biting outdoors, but Ae. aegypti will also readily feed indoors.
After the bite of an infected mosquito, onset of illness occurs usually between 4 and 8 days but can range from 2 to 12 days.
Diagnosis
Several methods can be used for diagnosis. Serological tests, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), may confirm the presence of IgM and IgG anti-chikungunya antibodies. IgM antibody levels are highest 3 to 5 weeks after the onset of illness and persist for about 2 months. Samples collected during the first week after the onset of symptoms should be tested by both serological and virological methods (RT-PCR).
The virus may be isolated from the blood during the first few days of infection. For protection during outbreaks of chikungunya, clothing which minimizes skin exposure to the day-biting vectors is advised. Repellents can be applied to exposed skin or to clothing in strict accordance with product label instructions.
