As a part of MOU between Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital, Sangli and Maratha Mandal Dental College, Belgaum, a seminar on “Nitrous Oxide Conscious Sedation” was conducted on 27th December 2025 by Dr. Amit Kolekar (PG Student).
Attended by 09 faculty members and 32 students, the session received positive feedback and proved to be engaging ,informative and enriching . It enhanced understanding of the role of Nitrous Oxide Conscious Sedation in pediatric dental care.

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Dental College and Hospital,Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, organized Alumni Interaction on 24th December 2025.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students and faculty members attended the programme.The programme was chaired by respected Principal Dr.Sharad Kamat Sir,and he handed over Certificate of appreciation.
Dr. MUSHTAK KHAN (ALUMNI) gave an insightful talk on ZYGOMATIC IMPLANTS, highlighting the need for accessible dental care and inclusive treatment.
The session helped everyone understand the important role Zygomatic Implants in dentistry play in providing supportive, barrier-free, and patient-centred care for individuals with disabilities.
Together, we continue to work towards a more inclusive and compassionate dental practice.

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Dental College and Hospital, Sangli conducted camp at Malwadi on 12/12/2025.
Dental camp attendees were provided with Health Talk on oral health importance and were provided with tooth brushing technique demonstration. Total 100 patients were screened and treatment (scaling) of 10 patients was carried out.Also toothpaste samples were distributed.

Dental check up and treatment camp was held at malgoan today . Camp attendees were provided with oral cavity health talk and demonstration of brushing technique. Camp attendees were benefited with toothpaste and treatment discount cards . 226 patients were screened and 16 were treated on 11.12.25.

The Department of Oral Pathology, BV(DU) Dental College & Hospital, Sangli, conducted a two-day Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Workshop featuring an integrated blend of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises. The program aimed to build essential competencies in forensic odontology, Interpol-recommended DVI protocols, and biological profiling using teeth and bones.
Dr. Deepak V., Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for Forensic Dentistry, College of Dental Sciences, Davangere, Karnataka served as the resource person. A nationally recognized forensic specialist with extensive experience in search and recovery operations, Dr. Deepak delivered high-value sessions enriched with casework insights and practical applications.
The workshop received enthusiastic participation from interns, postgraduate students, and faculty from institutions in and around Sangli.
