_*Grand Inauguration of ‘Sports Fiesta 2026’ at Bhonsale Knowledge City....*_

_*Emphasis on developing sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership qualities among students....*_

_The annual sports event Sports Fiesta 2025–26, jointly organized by Yashwantrao Bhonsale Institute of Technology and Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy at Bhonsale Knowledge City, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm today. The sports festival will be held from 5th to 10th January 2026._

_The formal inauguration was carried out by the Secretary of the institution, Sanjeev Desai, by lighting the ceremonial lamp and the sports torch. On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer Lt. Colonel (Retd.) Ratnesh Sinha, Principal of Yashwantrao Bhonsale Institute of Technology Dr. Raman Bane, Principal of Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy Dr. Vijay Jagatap, D. Pharmacy Principal Satyajit Sathe, Sports Coordinator Dr. Prashant Mali, and Prof. Swagat Kerkar were present. The sports fiesta includes various events such as Cricket, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Disc Throw, Shot Put, Tug of War, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom, and Chess._

_Addressing the students, Dr. Raman Bane said, “Sports not only promote physical fitness but also help in developing team spirit, discipline, and leadership qualities.” CEO Ratnesh Sinha expressed, “Sports competitions build confidence, determination, and the positive attitude necessary for nation-building among students.”_

_On this occasion, Dr. Vijay Jagatap administered the sportsmanship oath to the students. The program was compered by Prof. Sagar Khanolkar, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Prashant Mali. The entire inauguration ceremony concluded in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere._

💐💐💐Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy proudly announces that 114 undergraduate and 25 postgraduate students participated and presented their research work at the Zonal Round of the 20th Aavishkar Research Convention, organized by the University of Mumbai at Kankavli College, Kankavli on 7th December 2026. *Ms. Chipkar Divya Tushar* (Topic: Formulation and Evaluation of Hair serum from Southern Maidenhair Fern), *Ms. Pournima Mahale* (Tragacanth-infused bioadhesive herbal strip for gentle non invansive ear wax removal), and *Ms. Kale Shivshri Tanaji* (Harnessing Tamarind Seed Polysaccharide for Mucoadhesive Buccal Delivery of Atenolol) from the Medicine and Pharmacy category, along with *Mr. Sawant Atharva Amit* (Formulation of Tanacetum Parthenium chewable tablet for anti migraine activity) and *Mr. Dhuri Mahadev Raghoba* (Unlocking the pharmaceutical properties of Jackfruit) from Pure Science, were selected for the Final Round, reflecting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and research innovation.

Glimpses of Field Visit at Vengurla....

Total 44 students of Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy, participated in an insightful field visit to Vengurla on a date 05th December 2025.

The visit commenced with an informative session at the garbage and sewage treatment plants. Mr. Dhanajay Kalsekar elucidated the principles of Zero-waste Management, elaborating on waste collection, categorization, processing techniques, and resource optimization. A detailed explanation of the sewage treatment process was also provided.

Subsequently, the students proceeded to the Jivandhara Water Purification Centre, vengurla. Mr. Tulsidas naik provided a comprehensive overview of the water purification plant's operations.

The visit was successfully conducted under the guidance of faculty members Mrs. Advika Arolkar.
