Meet Hanuman⭐️
He came to us ten years ago, at just 14 years old, through the intervention of the District Collector. He was rescued from a local MR school where he had faced conditions no child should ever have to endure. When he arrived, he carried a difficult past but also a spark that refused to go out.
Today, at 24, that spark has become his entire personality.
Hanuman is one of the most lively, warm, and happy souls in our home. He greets everyone with the biggest smile, loves helping the younger kids bathing them, feeding them, getting them ready and takes genuine pride in being responsible. He’s also someone who loves keeping himself top-notch: new clothes, new shoes, goggles, grooming, getting ready… he enjoys every bit of it, and honestly, it’s adorable to watch.
But what many people don’t know about him is his talent.
Hanuman is an incredible athlete especially in sprinting and javelin throw. He has competed in multiple competitions and has won medals that he proudly shows off to anyone who asks. Every win of his feels like a reminder that abilities come in different forms, and strength doesn’t always look the same.
Despite everything he has lived through, Hanuman is joy in human form. He dances whenever he gets a chance, laughs easily, and finds excitement in the smallest of things. He teaches us, every single day, that happiness isn’t about being “normal” or having more it’s about feeling loved, safe, and seen.
Hanuman is normal in his own way.
And that way is beautiful. 🪄

Meet Rehank.
He’s 19 years old, and he’s been a part of our home for eight years now.

Rehank has severe intellectual and developmental disability along with cerebral palsy.

His body doesn’t always listen to him, his hands, his legs, they don’t move the way he wants them to.
But his eyes, his smile, they say everything.
He recognizes us, reacts to things, and lights up when someone comes to visit him.

You can always tell when he’s happy, his whole face smiles before his lips do.
And when he’s sad, his eyes quietly say it all.
He can answer with a nod, a little shake of the head, and somehow, that’s always enough.
Because with Rehank, words aren’t needed.

He shares a special bond with Prince, he’ll only eat when Prince feeds him, no one else. It’s their little connection, built on love and trust.
Rehank is gentle, expressive, and endlessly sweet — the kind of soul who reminds you how powerful a single smile can be. 💙

Meet Rajkumar.
He’s 26 years old, and he’s been a part of our home for 15 years now.
Rajkumar has an intellectual developmental disability.
He’s cheerful, talkative, and full of life, the kind of person who brightens up every corner he walks into.

He loves chocolates. Loves food even more. And he always has a new food request waiting, there’s no such thing as repeating a dish in Rajkumar’s world 🤪

He’s our tables pro he can count tables till 20, and he does it with so much pride that you can’t help but cheer him on.

He keeps things clean, helps around, and never misses a chance to share a bit of gossip with his mischievous grin.

Rajkumar may need help with his daily activities, but he makes up for it with his warmth, charm, and endless chatter.

And when you see his video, excuse his sleepy face, he was just a little too ready for his afternoon nap that day 😴
But that’s Rajkumar — always himself, always full of heart. 💙

This Independence Day, our stage belonged to the bravest hearts. With every step they took, every song they sang, and every smile they shared, our children reminded us that true freedom is not just about a nation’s independence, it’s about the courage to be yourself, to express without fear, and to shine without limits. Their performances weren’t just acts; they were stories of strength, joy, and boundless hope. At Yash Foundation, we celebrated not just India’s freedom, but the unshakable spirit of our specially-abled children who make us believe in a brighter, kinder tomorrow.” 🇮🇳✨
