What Happens in the 10th Week of Pregnancy?
At the 10th week your baby enters the third month of pregnancy. The uterus grows to the size of a large orange and your baby is about the size of an apricot. You may start noticing changes in your body and exciting developments in your baby.
How is the Baby Developing at 10 Weeks?
Facial features are becoming more defined with eyes moving closer together and ears taking their proper place. Major organs are working with the liver producing bile and kidneys making urine. The heart beats rapidly at 160 to 180 beats per minute. Bones are beginning to harden as cartilage transforms into bone.
What Changes Happen in the Mother’s Body?
Your uterus continues to grow causing a heavier sensation in the lower abdomen. Increased blood volume may cause visible veins. Skin pigmentation changes and posture shifts may also occur due to uterus expansion. These changes are normal during this stage of pregnancy.
What Precautions Should Be Taken in the 10th Week of Pregnancy?
Avoid harmful substances such as alcohol smoking and excess caffeine. Maintain a balanced diet rich in nutrients. Follow moderate exercise advice get enough rest and practice stress management. Stay hydrated and attend regular antenatal check ups to ensure healthy pregnancy progression.
