Dehydration can be because of Diarrhoea, vomitings, fever or heatstroke.
It can be treated and prevented by a simple intervention- ORS. Always give WHO recommended ORS with proper dilution using clean drinking water. Use within 24 hours and discard if remaining.

National Deworming day is celebrated every year on 5th February to prevent worm infestation in children.

Worm infestation can cause poor appetite, anaemia, stomach pain, disturbed sleep, impaired growth in children.
TO PREVENT
-Give your child a dose of albendazole once in 6 months.
-Wash your hands properly before eating.
Eat properly cooked food and keep it covered.
-Drink clean water.
-Keep your nails short.
-Use clean toilets.
-Wear footwear and slippers.
