Similarly this patient came with a chief complaint of unresolved pain since past few years.
This is a very simple procedure that cleans out the inflamed joint and results in immediate improvement in pain and function.

Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt in your mouth, which usually happens when you are between 16 and 23 years of age. When there is insufficient gum space for normal eruption, these teeth become "impacted" -- that is, they remain below the gum line, or not quite clear of it, because they cannot fully emerge.

Impacted wisdom teeth can cause infection of adjacent gum tissue, dental decay of adjacent teeth, crowding of front teeth or in rare cases, cysts.

It is well documented that removal of wisdom teeth in young adults (below the age of 25) is associated with less after-operation pain and swelling than in older adults. Therefore, if it is determined that your wisdom teeth are likely to cause problems, your oral and maxillofacial surgeon will usually recommend that you have them removed earlier rather than later.
