Mandible fracture also known as fracture of the lower jaw bone of the face is most commonly seen following road traffic accidents.
The symptoms following mandible fracture are
• Pain
• Swelling of soft tissues around the lower jaw
• Loose teeth
• Difficulty in opening and closing the mouth
• Difficulty in biting , eating and swallowing
This type of injury requires intervention and needs to be treated by plates and screws

Wisdom teeth are a third set of molars that come in at the back of your mouth . They usually erupt between the ages of 17-25. If they do not erupt in the oral cavity , they can be seen on Xrays. People have them removed due to any of the following reasons

• They are impacted - because they are so far in your mouth , wisdom teeth do not come out normally. They can be trapped in your jaw bone or gums which may be very painful.
•They erupt in the wrong angle as seen in the second picture .They may press against your adjacent teeth.
•Your jaw isn't big enough so there may be no room for an extra set of molars.
