Today on 26th February, 2026, An awareness meeting was conducted in Lengibor Gaon Panchayat by State Veterinary Dispensary, Rohdoipukhuri regarding different Vaccination programmes under LH & DCP under Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department. The meeting was inaugurated by Sub-divisional Veterinary Officer, Sivasagar Dr. Rajen Sharma, where the local farmers of Lengibor Panchayat were made aware of the importance of vaccination, unique ID registration, importance of AI, availability of s*x sorted semen
etc for upliftment of the livestock sector. Dr, Reema Talukdar, Veterinary Officer, SVD, Rohdoipukhuri precisely educated the farmers regarding LH&DCP Vaccination programmes, upcoming FMD (7th Round) Vaccination, Brucellosis, CSF and PPR Vaccination. Also the farmers were made aware of the ASCAD Vaccination Programmes (Goat Pox/ L*D, HS & BQ, ET-TT, R2B and Duck Plague). The farmers were told regarding the importance of timely vaccination, ear tagging, deworming, registration of the owner and their animals in Bharat Pasudhan app. Importance of Artificial Insemination and its advantages against natural service was also being mentioned.
