My mother couldn't complete her education due to financial issues, though she was the first girl in her class. When I was a small girl, I promised her that's fine, your daughter will be the highest educated in the bloodline till her time.
She taught us the importance of education and self dependence. She taught us how an educated woman walks , talks and dresses up, how she should be kind and virtuous and connected to her roots. She taught us the importance of receiving respect rather than attention. She told us that daughters should build their own homes, earn their own money but walk with modesty. Whatever you see in us is a reflection of what our parents taught us.
