এই বড়দিনে, আলো-ঝলমলে মুহূর্ত আর নীরব প্রার্থনার মাঝে,
আমরা আপনাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলতে চাই —
শুধু ডাক্তার হিসেবে নয়, মানুষ হিসেবে।

এই বছর জুড়ে আমরা আপনাদের অনেকের সঙ্গে দেখা করেছি —

Complete Total Knee Replacement (TKR) অনেক রোগীর কাছে কেবল একটি অস্ত্রোপচার নয়—এটি দীর্ঘদিনের যন্ত্রণা, অসহায়তা এবং নির্ভরশীলতার অধ্যায় শেষ করে নতুন জীবনের শুরু। বছরের পর বছর হাঁটু ব্যথা সহ্য করতে করতে অনেক রোগী ধীরে ধীরে হাঁটা কমিয়ে দেন, সিঁড়ি এড়িয়ে চলেন, প্রিয় কাজগুলো ছেড়ে দেন। কেউ বলেন, “ডাক্তার, ব্যথার থেকেও কষ্টের হলো অন্যের সাহায্য ছাড়া চলতে না পারা।” সেই কথাগুলোই আমাকে মনে করিয়ে দেয়, TKR-এর সিদ্ধান্ত কতটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। অস্ত্রোপচারের আগে রোগীর ভয়, দুশ্চিন্তা আর নানা প্রশ্ন থাকে—আবার হাঁটতে পারব তো? স্বাভাবিক জীবন ফিরবে তো? একজন অর্থোপেডিক সার্জন হিসেবে আমার দায়িত্ব শুধু সফলভাবে Complete TKR করা নয়, বরং রোগীকে এই পুরো যাত্রায় পাশে থাকা। সঠিক মূল্যায়ন, নিখুঁত সার্জারি, আধুনিক ইমপ্ল্যান্ট এবং অপারেশনের পর ধাপে ধাপে ফিজিওথেরাপির মাধ্যমে আমরা ধীরে ধীরে রোগীকে আত্মবিশ্বাস ফিরিয়ে দিই। অপারেশনের কয়েক সপ্তাহ পর যখন রোগী বলেন, “ডাক্তার, আজ নিজে নিজেই বাজার গেলাম,” বা “অনেকদিন পর ব্যথা ছাড়া সিঁড়ি ভাঙতে পারলাম”—সেই মুহূর্তগুলোই Successful Recovery-র আসল মানে বোঝায়। একজন মানুষকে আবার স্বাধীনভাবে হাঁটতে, চলতে এবং নিজের জীবনের নিয়ন্ত্রণ ফিরে পেতে সাহায্য করাই Complete TKR-এর প্রকৃত সাফল্য এবং আমার কাজের সবচেয়ে বড় প্রাপ্তি।
