On March 28th, we organized an internal launch programme of NAT with our health partners the Indian Medical Association, trusted Doctors, Hospital Administrations, Government & Private Health agencies who together with us directly work towards ensuring safety to our patients.

The programme was visited by renowned Doctors including Dr. P. D Bhutia, Dr. Malay Chakraborty, President IMA, along with 80+ doctors from various specialties, administrations who were informed on the significance of NAT tested Blood and how it makes blood transfusion safer.

NAT or Nucleic Acid Testing is a technology that would decrease the window period for detection of life threatening diseases like Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV, leading to ensuring safer blood to our patients.

The programme was visited by Blood Centre Chairman PDG Lion Srawan Chowdhury, President Lion Manish Agarwal, Programme Chairman Lion Sanjay Agarwal, founding Chairman Lion Nirmal Gidra, Lion Mahesh Kumar Agarwal and along with Roche team who emphasized on the scientific breakthrough of NAT.

On March 29th, we launched NAT with 500+ of our partners, civil societies, government functionaries, Lions Club organizations who trust upon us for continuous supply of Safe Blood for transfusion.

This state-of-the-art technology, implemented in partnership with Roche Diagnostics India-a global leader in diagnostics, elevates the centre's blood safety standards to a globally benchmarked level.

Reducing the window period of detection of life threatening infections like HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C significantly; NAT does not wait for the production of the Antibodies, a natural immune response against an invading infection, and detect the virus directly early through detecting its DNA-RNA even before the immune response is triggered, ensuring an additional layer of safety to our patients.
