21.26 km in the high mountains of Sikkim.
A route that looked beautiful on the map — but felt brutal on the legs.

Steep climbs that never seemed to end.
Cold mountain winds pushing back every step.
Calf cramps reminding me how unforgiving elevation can be.

At times it felt like the mountains were testing every bit of strength and patience I had.

But the views, the terrain, and the raw beauty of the route made every painful step worth it.

Finished my first Half Marathon on one of the toughest courses I’ve run.

Beautiful route.
Hell of an elevation.
An unforgettable experience.

Life of the surgeon in Covid and post Covid era in OT. Operating in full PPE meant fogged vision, suffocating masks, soaked scrubs, and hours without a real breath. Fear, fatigue, and discomfort became constant companions—but surgery never stopped.

Post-COVID, PPE is lighter, yet the memory remains: resilience built while operating with no space to breathe, only duty to guide steady hands.

Touching Story of Recovery and Hope

A young woman was involved in a severe accident while driving with her husband, resulting in multiple injuries, including neurological trauma, facial fractures, cut laceration on face, and rib fractures. Fortunately, her husband escaped unharmed.

The medical team at Thalamus Institute of Medical Sciences provided her with meticulous care, and after an extended hospital stay, she was discharged with a positive prognosis for recovery from her neurological issues.

Three weeks later, she returned for a follow-up appointment, and it was a poignant moment when we saw her walking and smiling. Hearing her voice for the first time was a profoundly moving experience, despite having met with her almost daily during her hospitalization.

As a doctor, there is no greater satisfaction than witnessing a patient’s successful recovery. The collective effort of our team enabled her to smile again and resume her normal life. I extend my best wishes to her family, particularly her husband, whom I saw smile for the first time. Thalamus Institute of Medical Sciences

It has been ten years since I embarked on my professional journey in Siliguri, after returning from Kanpur.

We are celebrating a decade of growth. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey.

We have transitioned from waiting for patients to attend to, to managing a fully booked schedule that requires rescheduling appointments. Although the early stages of this journey presented numerous challenges, they also provided valuable learning experiences.

I would like to thank my parents, family, wife Neha, daughter Kenisha, friends, doctors, patients and hospitals where i am working ,who have consistently supported and trusted us.
