Agilent HPLC Capillaries.

HPLC capillaries are used in the high-pressure part flow path to make connections between different modules and column. All Agilent HPLC capillaries are engineered and manufactured to provide the best fit to Agilent instruments and columns to protect the integrity of your results at every step of your LC flow path. Agilent’s unique laser welding process ensures that all capillaries' ends are absolutely flat, eliminating any chance of capillary-induced dead volume.

Agilent offers HPLC capillaries in a variety of materials to suit your needs. Stainless steel capillaries with high flexibility and durability are ideal for most standard applications. Capillaries made from MP35N, PEEK-lined stainless steel and titanium are inert and corrosion resistant, suited for bio applications.

All capillaries are color-coded to help you quickly identify the capillary id. Find the right capillaries quickly and easily using our online selection tool in the Tools section below.

Features

A variety of top-quality materials available such as stainless steel, MP35N, titanium, PEEK-sleeved stainless steel, and PEEK-coated fused silica.

Agilent 0.6 mm od flexible 316L grade stainless steel capillaries provide high flexibility without sacrificing durability. They have good resistance to pitting corrosion and are much easier to handle than conventional rigid 1.6 mm od capillaries

MP35N capillaries are made from a nonmagnetic, nickel-cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy with an excellent resistance to sulfation, oxidation, saline solutions, and most mineral acids. Its superior properties guarantee reliable performance, even under UHPLC conditions.

Bio-inert titanium or PEEK-sleeved stainless steel capillaries fit perfectly for bio-inert applications

PEEK tubing can be easily cut to exact length you need, and are durable and abrasion-resistant for low pressure applications

Altura Ultra Inert HPLC Columns

Developing analytical methods that produce robust and reliable quantitative data is particularly challenging in liquid chromatography for analytes with acidic or anionic functional groups. This is due to their propensity toward nonspecific binding, or interactions with the active metal sites in the flow path. These interactions lead to sample loss due to adsorption, sample carryover, inconsistent peak area from injection to injection, increased peak tailing, and decreased signal response—especially with LC/MS workflows.

Altura columns feature our innovative Ultra Inert technology. This advanced coating blocks active metal sites, ensuring an inert flow path while maintaining the strength, pressure tolerance, and consistency of a traditional stainless steel HPLC column.

The result? Altura columns unlock the true separation potential of the stationary phase. Experience superior chromatographic performance, faster equilibration, and enhanced sensitivity for your most challenging metal-sensitive analytes.

The initial release of Altura Ultra Inert HPLC columns includes reversed-phase and HILIC stationary phases for metal-sensitive analytes such as peptides, oligonucleotides, and polar metabolites.

Features

Reduced nonspecific binding for pure selectivity

Better peak shape with less tailing

Enhanced sensitivity due to improved sample recovery

Long lifetime due to robust coating and column packing

Rapid equilibration to get high-quality data faster

Versatile use with various chromatographic techniques

Readiness for evolving regulatory needs with lower limits of detection

Agilent InfinityLab Poroshell 120 columns

InfinityLab Poroshell 120 columns are based on superficially porous particle technology, which features a solid silica core and a porous outer layer. Compared to traditional totally porous particles of the same (or similar) size, Poroshell particles deliver higher chromatographic efficiencies and enable fast, highresolution separations. Poroshell superficially porous particles offer several advantages over totally porous particles:

– Uniform particles with smooth surfaces, ensuring smaller particle size distributions

– Short analyte diffusion path in/out of the porous layer

– Narrow particle size distributions, allowing more uniform packing of column particles

InfinityLab Poroshell 120 superficially porous columns for reversed-phase liquid chromatography (LC) separations offer exceptional efficiency and reliability across a broad range of applications. With chemistries that span general-purpose, basic, acidic, polar, and chiral compounds, the family makes it easy to choose the right column for your method: EC-C18 is the starting point for routine methods, HPH-C18/HPH-C8 support high-pH basic analytes, SB-C18/SB-C8 are optimized for low-pH acidic compounds, Aq-C18 and HILIC phases boost retention of polar analytes, and dedicated chiral phases enable rapid enantiomer separations.

Twenty chemistries - from various C18 options to unique phenyl, CN, HILIC, and chiral chemistries - are available in up to three particle diameters: 1.9 μm, 2.7 μm, and 4 μm, giving you scalable selectivity from traditional high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to ultralow dispersion UHPLC.

Features

Superficially porous, core-shell particles that provide both improved throughput and higher resolution

A scalable particles - including 1.9 μm, 2.7 μm, and 4 μm to match your methods, instruments, and method requirements from HPLC to UHPLC

Superior peak shapes from high-purity silica and advanced bonding chemistries for accurate quantitation

Easy method development with the selectivity from 13 reversed phase chemistries

Excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility giving you confidence in your separation results
