Agilent ADM Flow Meter.

A gas chromatography flow meter measures GC gas streams and provides the flow rate. The Agilent ADM flow meter is ideal for measuring gas streams with composite gas composition. This digital gas flow meter for GC is easy to maintain by simply replacing the cartridge once a year yourself to keep the gas flow meter compliant. Each GC flow meter comes with a calibrated cartridge. The Flow Meter cartridge can also be exchanged with an Electronic Leak Detector Cartridge to detect leaks .
Flow meters are a tool that can be used to verify the proper function of a GC as well as troubleshoot a problem. As with previous flow meters, the Agilent ADM Flow Meter has been developed to measure the volumetric flow rate of any noncorrosive gas, including mixtures of gases.

Agilent Self-Tightening Column Nuts for GC.

The Agilent Self-Tightening nut is a unique, stainless steel GC column nut that delivers a tight connection without expensive upgrades or adaptors. An innovative spring-driven piston continuously presses against the short graphite/polyimide ferrule, maintaining a leak-free seal even after hundreds of injections. This secure column connection reduces background noise for more reliable results. There is no need to interrupt analyses to tighten fittings.

Installing a fused silica column can be difficult. From installing the ferrule and column nut, measuring the column depth, and fitting into the instrument, there’s numerous ways to add variation into the results. The Self-Tightening column nut has a unique locking collar for easy installation, reducing the possibility of variation. This removable, locking collar holds the column in place, for accurate and repeatable installation results.

The Self-Tightening transfer line nut is ideal for oxygen sensitive detectors, such as MS and ECD.

Agilent Graphite Ferrules for GC

Graphite ferrules offer exceptional sealing performance for most standard GC applications. The soft, malleable material can uniquely conform to nearly any space, reducing dead volume. This provides a leak-tight seal without risk of compromising the analytical column. Graphite capillary ferrules offer limited thermal expansion or contraction, meaning that column connections do not require regular maintenance to retain an efficient seal. Compared to polymeric materials, high-purity graphite ferrules are capable of withstanding inlet/oven temperatures up to 450 °C without loss in performance.

Agilent graphite ferrules are available in three standard sizes based on the capillary columns outer diameter (od). Larger 1/8 inch and 1/16 inch reducing ferrules are available for packed columns. For assistance selecting the correct ferrule for your application, try the Agilent GC Ferrule Selector Tool.

Features

Graphite ferrules are recommended high-temperature applications exceeding 350 °C.

With proper installation, graphite ferrules can be reused depending on the application.

Graphite ferrules will not bond or stick-to the silica capillary column or metal inlet interface, allowing for easy removal.

All Agilent HPLC capillaries are engineered and manufactured to provide the best fit to Agilent instruments and columns to protect the integrity of your results at every step of your LC flow path. Agilent’s unique laser welding process ensures that all capillaries' ends are absolutely flat, eliminating any chance of capillary-induced dead volume.

Agilent offers HPLC capillaries in a variety of materials to suit your needs. Stainless steel capillaries with high flexibility and durability are ideal for most standard applications. Capillaries made from MP35N, PEEK-lined stainless steel and titanium are inert and corrosion resistant, suited for bio applications.
