Mucocele or oral mucous cyst is a benign cyst filled with fluid which arises from the minor salivary gland. These are painless, occurs commonly in lower lip due to injury such as lip biting. These blisters subsides on its own but needs treatment in cases with larger sizes.

Generally asymptomatic, it can cause discomfort or pain in some cases. These can be removed by surgical resection, although not required in assymptomatic cases.
