Anti Leprosy Day was observed today at the Conference Hall of JT DHS, Hatsingimari, in the presence of the In-charge Joint Director of Health Services, Addl. CM&HO (FW) cm DIO, DSO/DTO, and other health officials of South Salmara Mankachar District.

The observance aimed at reinforcing awareness on leprosy, early detection, treatment, and elimination of stigma. To further spread the message among the community, an awareness rally was also organised as part of the programme.

A clinical seminar on Heart Failure was successfully conducted on 29th January 2026 at the Seminar Hall, District Hospital, Hatsingimari.

The session was presented by Dr. Rakibul Islam, MD (Medicine), who delivered an insightful and evidence-based presentation on the etiology, clinical features, diagnosis, and updated management protocols of heart failure, with special emphasis on practical approaches relevant to district-level patient care.

The seminar was held in the esteemed presence of the Medical Superintendent and other doctors of the hospital. The session witnessed active participation from clinicians and concluded with an engaging question-and-answer discussion, where multiple clinical scenarios were deliberated, fostering meaningful knowledge exchange.

Overall, the seminar proved to be academically enriching and contributed significantly to continuous medical education and improved clinical practice.

As part of TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan 2, preparation of the line list was carried out across South Salmara Mankachar District. Field-level survey activities were also conducted under Fulerchar AAM, Dharakoba AAM, and Sonarpara AAM to strengthen case identification and ensure timely intervention.

The initiative reflects the district’s continued efforts towards early detection, treatment, and elimination of tuberculosis.
