Perimenopause and iron depletion
Most women miss this:-👇🏼

Perimenopause commonly reduces stomach acid, slows digestion and increases gut stress.
That’s why oral iron can cause:-
👉🏼bloating
👉🏼nausea
👉🏼constipation
👉🏼oxidative stress
👉🏼sibo or h. Pylori

And barely absorbs
IRON

Not all low iron is the same- you need a full iron panel to look for the type of dysfunction going on:-
1. True iron deficiency
⬇️ ferritin ⬇️ iron ⬇️ saturation ⬇️ TIBC

2. Low ferritin only
⬇️ ferritin but iron markers normal (usually due to low biotin or low stomach acid)

3. Anemia
Ferritin normal/ high but iron and saturation low (inflammation traps iron)

I recommend IRON PATCHES (bypass the gut and does not negatively impact digestion)

For better absorption of iron and storage to ferritin:- Lactoferrin (improves absorption safely) Biotin (required to convert iron to ferritin) Stomach acid support (HCL) Vit c with meals.

Bottom line for perimenopause check

Most people think acidity = too much stomach acid.
But in 70–80% cases, acidity symptoms actually happen due to LOW stomach acid.

👉 How LOW acid causes acidity symptoms

When your stomach acid is weak:
1. Food sits longer in the stomach → fermentation → gas
2. Pressure increases → acid leaks upward
3. Even normal acid feels like burning → called acid reflux
4. Poor digestion → bloating, burping, heaviness

So the burn people feel is not because acid is TOO MUCH…
It’s because the acid is in the wrong place.

👉 Why do people get low stomach acid?
• Stress
• Overuse of antacids
• Not chewing properly
• Drinking too much water with meals
• Nutrient deficiencies (zinc, B vitamins)
• Eating too fast
• Long gaps or overeating

👉 How to know if you might have LOW stomach acid
• Bloating after simple meals
• Burping frequently
• Heaviness after eating
• Food intolerances increasing
• Acidity that improves when you add lemon/ACV
• Reflux after heavy or oily meals
• Protein feels “heavy” to digest

👉 Then why do antacids help?

Because they neutralize the acid temporarily, giving short relief.
But they also make your stomach acid even weaker, worsening digestion long-term.

👉 What actually helps?
• Eat slowly
• Add bitter foods (methi, ajwain water, lemon water before meals)
• Ginger + black salt warm water before meals
• Avoid water during meals
• Small, frequent meals
• Reduce stress around meals

Instead of antibiotics, start probiotics.
Fermented veggies build your gut microbiome.

Recipe:
1 cup carrot + 1 cup beetroot
4 garlic cloves
1 tsp rock salt
1 tsp mustard seeds
Boiled–cooled water
Method: Submerge veggies fully → keep jar in warm corner → taste after 3 days → stronger probiotic by day

Detox? Or just another marketing myth?”
People associate it with juices, teas, or powders — but few know how the body naturally detoxifies itself.

human body already detoxifies itself through:
• Liver: Filters toxins and metabolizes fat.
• Kidneys: Flush waste through urine.
• Lungs: Exhale carbon dioxide.
• Skin: Eliminates toxins through sweat.
• Gut: Removes waste and maintains balance of good bacteria.

So, instead of relying on expensive detox teas or juices, people should focus on:
🥦 Whole foods
💧 Hydration
🧘‍♀️ Good sleep
🚶‍♀️ Daily movement

“You don’t need a detox drink. You need a healthy lifestyle.”

Your physical health starts in your mouth

Oral health isn’t just about a bright smile — it’s the gateway to your entire body.

Poor gum health can increase inflammation, raise heart disease risk, and even worsen diabetes control.
Every bite you take begins your digestion — if your oral health is poor, your gut and body will feel it too.

Know more👇🏼

Bacteria from unhealthy gums can enter the bloodstream and cause inflammation in the heart and other organs.
• Poor oral hygiene affects digestion — chewing is the first step of digestion.
• Nutrient deficiencies (like low vitamin C, calcium, or omega-3) show up first in your gums and teeth.
• Balanced nutrition supports strong teeth, healthy gums, and overall immunity.
