Cold fomentation is a type of physical therapy. In this method, you put one cubes into a zip lock bag and apply the bag to an injured part. Works best when there is bruising or swelling associated with an injury. There are also ice packs available to buy in the pharmacy that you can use for the same purpose. The cold temperature from the ice constricts the blood flow to the injured area and prevents further bleeding and swelling.
