Under the program "My Town, My Pride" a Free Mega AYUSH Camp was, today on 10/12/2022, organized by AHWC SP Hamchi Srinagar, in collaboration with Srinagar Womens College Zakura with the support of District AYUSH Officer, Srinagar. The camp was aimed at highlighting the various facets of AYUSH in dealing day to day physical and mental problems in the community. An impetus was given to the prevailing seasonal flu and other winter related ailments. The camp was warmly reciprocated with presence of a large number of benefeceries taking advantage of the services provided by Directorate of AYUSH on different platforms. In this camp 256 benefeceries were benefited and it was only possible by the help and support of the NSS wing of the college who manned the huge flow with discipline.The college authorities collaborated with utmost zeal and eagerness. I am highly thankful to our DAO Mam for her prompt support. I would lend my gratitude to Dr Rubeena for her humble and selfless services and at the same time thank the college principal and other supporting staff of the college. I thank my pharmacist M Ashraf Bhat and Yoga instructor Mr Inayat Beigh for their assistance. It was also discussed that an MOU will be signed between the women's College and AHWC SP Hamchi for easing out further joint collaborations.
It is pertinent to mention that recently a day before the college authorities also donated one wheel chair to AHWC SP HAMCHI.

Free Mega AYUSH Medical Aid and NCD Screening camp at Central Jail, Srinagar

Today on 21st September 2022 a Free Mega AYUSH Medical aid camp alongwith NCD Screening Camp was conducted by the staff of AYUSH Unit JLNM Rainawari and AHWC SP Hamchi Srinagar at Central Jail, Srinagar J&K viz Dr Asif Kundangar, oms,Dr Firdos Habib Dr Manzoor Ahmad Shah, , Dr Ruhail John and other paramedical staff. The Prisons Hospital Central Jail, Srinagar staff especially Dr Showkat Amin and others lended their support for the smooth conduct of the camp. The arrangements made by the Jail administration were done meticulously under the guidance of Senior Superintendent, Central Jail, Srinagar Mr Daljit Singh Ji. He appreciated the efforts of District AYUSH Officers, Srinagar in conducting such a camp in jail campus.
In this camp 398 benefeceries including the inmates and the staff got benefitted from this camp. Free AYUSH medicines, Immune booster Medicine was distributed among them. Also screening of diabetes and hypertension was done.

An Outreach Free Medical Camp was organised by Medical Officer SP HAMCHI Sgr at New Lifeline Educational Institute, Syedpora Hamchi today 08/08/2022. In this camp thorough check up of the students from Class 1st to 10th was done. Their BMI was calculated and individual attention to every student regarding their health and personal hygiene was given. Free medicines were distributed as per the prescription of the Medical Officer, by the paramedical staff Mr Mohd Ashraf Bhat. They were made aware of the importance of AYUSH interventions in promoting health and preventing diseases. The school authorities were requesting for such a camp from many days and after proper correspondence today's camp was held. In this camp 135 benefeceries got benefitted including the staff and drivers of vans.
A yoga session was also conducted by Yoga Instructor Mrs Maheena Maqbool and it was decided that more sessions of Yoga will be held in coming weeks. The principal of the school lauded the initiative and showed enthusiasm in implementing yoga in their curriculum.

An awareness program with theme "Adolescent Girls- Physical and Mental Health"
was conducted today 05/7/2022 by AYUSH Health and Wellness Centre Syedpora Hamchi, Srinagar under the various programs conducted by Directorate of AYUSH, J&K through District AYUSH Officer Srinagar at Govt. Women's College, Batpora, Srinagar. The program was attended by person from District AYUSH Officer, Srinagar, Divisional Nodal Officer, AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres Kashmir division, Principal Srinagar Women's College, Batpora, and the other staff members of the college.
In this program Medical Officers Dr Asif Kundangar and Dr Qurat ul Ain threw light upon various physical and mental problems of adolescents. An impetus was given for promotion of Mental Health and Personal Hygiene of Adolescent Girls.
All the stake holders were enthusiastic in lending their support for such programs in future also.
I specially thank Regional News Unit Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar residing Mr Salman Qazi Deputy Director RNU DDK for his generous support in capturing the event. The event will be shared in the News at 7 PM and 7:15 PM
Also the participants were made aware of importance of role of yoga in dealing various mental problems. Our Yoga Instructor Miss Maheena Maqbool was awesome in presenting yogic aasanas to the gathering

This camp was organised by AYUSH Health and Wellness Centre, Syedpora Hamchi under Ayushman Bharat program Directorate of AYUSH, UT of Jammu and Kashmi today on 02/06/2022 at Syedpora Hamchi area of Srinagar. In this camp more than 300 patients were benefited and simultaneously many were screened for Diabetes and Hypertension. Those found diabetic and hypertensive were counselled and treated with appropriate medicines. The people were made aware of the importance of yoga in prevention of such non communicable diseases which are on rise from last one decade.
In this camp Dr Asif Kundangar and Dr Qurat ul Ain threw light on the prevalence of NCDs and their prevention with AYUSH interventions and persuaded the masses to inculcate healthy eating habits and to avoid sedentary life style.
This effort was appreciated by local people and they demanded to conduct such camps off and on. We are thankful to Himalaya Herbal Healthcare Zandra Division for lending their support.
