Well Care Medical Institute commences Skin Prick Test in association with Al-Qutub Polyclinic Soura and Unipath Speciality Laboratory.

Well Care Medical Institute (WMI), Ahmadnagar in association with Al-Qutub Polyclinic Soura and Unipath Labs,Soura starts Skin Prick Test (SPT).In it's first, 4 patients underwent the test.The test was conducted by and under the supervision of trained specialist Dr Taha Ashraf Qurashi,Incharge Allergy Clinic along with anaesthetist Dr Musharaf in a controlled clinical setting at WMI, Ahmadnagar, Srinagar, ensuring patient safety and accurate results.

Dr Taha Ashraf,Allergy specialist said, "The SPT is a Safe, Gold Standard Test and widely accepted diagnostic tool to identify specific allergens responsible for triggering allergic reactions".

He further said, "the Allergy-related conditions such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, skin rashes, and food allergies are rising across Jammu & Kashmir. Timely diagnosis is key to effective management and better quality of life".

Dr Masood ul Hassan, Medical Director WMI said, "with this new service, we reaffirm our commitment to bringing advanced, affordable diagnostic care closer to the people of Jammu & Kashmir.We remain dedicated to the health and well-being of our place.

He further added, "at present SPT facilities are available only at a very limited centres in Kashmir. With the addition of this service at WMI, patients will now have one more reliable facility closer to home for identifying allergies related to dust, pollen, food, medicines, and other common triggers.

Well Care Medical Institute organises a Mental Health Awareness Camp at girls wing of R.P School

Well Care Medical Institute, 90 feet road, Ahmadnagar, Srinagar in collaboration with R.P School (Girls Wing),Malabagh, Srinagar organized a "Mental Health Awareness Camp" on Friday within the school premises as part of its social responsibility initiatives.

During the session, Dr. Malik Insha Qayoom, Psychiatrist actively interacted with students and shared valuable guidance on maintaining a balanced lifestyle, managing academic responsibilities, and building positive coping skills to handle everyday challenges.

The interactive session also focused on promoting the overall well-being of students, including discussions on emotional health, self-confidence, and personal growth. These topics were addressed in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment that encouraged open communication and active participation.

The primary objective of the session was to raise awareness about mental well-being and to inspire students to express themselves confidently and seek guidance whenever needed.

On this occasion, the Principal of R.P School (Girls Wing), Mr. Shabir Ahmad Mir, appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of such awareness programs in nurturing a positive, healthy, and supportive learning environment.

Dr Masood ul Hassan, Medical Director of Well Care Medical Institute also commended the efforts and emphasized the importance of organizing more such camps in the future to promote mental health awareness and support the personal development of students.
