*KULGAM POLICE ARRESTED 01 NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLER AND RECOVERED CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE*

Kulgam : April 18, 2021;

Continuing its war against drug menace, Today 01 notorious drug peddler was arrested and Contraband substance was recovered from his possession.

A specific information was recieved by Kulgam Police regarding the Drug Peddling within the Jurisdiction of Police Station Qazigund. On tip off, Police party from Police Station Qazigund led by SHO Qazigund Insp. Irshad Reshi established a Naka at Levdora Qazigund and a suspicious vehicle bearing registration Number JK03B-8948 was intercepted, during search *12 Kg of Poppy Straw* like substance was recovered from the vehicle driven by one person namely Javeed Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohd Jamal Bhat resident of Kuchpora Qazigund. He was arrested, Contraband substance and vehicle used in commission of crime were seized.

Regarding the incident case with FIR No.72/2021 U/S 8-15 NDPS Act stand registered at Police station Qazigund and investigation taken up. Public is requested to extend cooperation to the Police and come forward with any information regarding anti-social activity in their neighborhood.

Schools are closed to save the students from pandemic and parents are freely participating in DDC election rallies chanting loudly "Nekli sheara yett vath daaera , easli haputt aagiya. Using loudspeakers distrubing Students Who are preparing for exams.
Without following any single precautionary measure of COVID19 they met thousands of people.
After this day long "Beakel gi" they met their children's at evening who are protecting themselves from COVID19 by staying away from their schools.

PS. If you have made election rallies COVIDfree why not schools.

DACYP of NYK Anantnag held under the supervision of DC Anantnag Mr. K K Sidha

Today on 16 October 2020 a meeting of District Advisory Committee on Youth Programmme of Nehru Yuva Kendra Anantnag was held in the office chamber of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag.
During the meeting Annual Action Plan 2020-21 of NYK Anantnag was held under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag. Deputy Director NYKS (Mr. N.A Shah),Joint Director(Mr. Imtiyaaz Ahmad), District Youth Coordinator Anantnag( Mr. Mohd Khalil Mir),Lead District manager Anantnag, National Youth Volunteers and Youth Leaders were present in the meeting. The implementation strategy of programmes were supervised with Joint District Administration especially with DC Anantnag Mr. Kuldeep Krishan Sidha.
The main Programmes that were discussed are: orientation of Youth, Personal contact programme, Education in Basic Vocation, Digital felicitation, career guidance & career counselling, COVID-19 interventions, Block Level Sport Meet, District Level Sports Meet, District Level promotion of Art and culture etc.
The meeting was done successfully with proper SOPs Such as Social distancing and proper usage of Masks.
