A quick doubt:

At high kvp,
Compton interaction is more right?, and photo electric interaction is less.

At lower kvp ,
photo electric interaction is high and Compton is low.

🌀since compton interaction happens by interaction of xray photon on the outer shell electron.
In case of outer shell ,the binding energy will be less right?
So small energy is sufficient to knock the electron out.

🌀In photoelectric the interaction happens with inner shell electron,
Which has high binding energy.so high energy will be required to knock them out.

Why compton interaction is high in high kvp?(since all it need is low energy to Knock outer shell electron)

Why photoelectric interaction is high in low kvp?( Inner shell has high binding energy,so it needs high energy xrays right? But how at low kvp, photoelectric interaction is high?)

CT SCAN:
VOXEL:
✅ Volume element.
✅ Cube because of Z-axis.
✅ 3d X, Y, & Z-axis.
✅ X axis represents the width of VOXEL.
✅ Y axis represents the height of VOXEL.
✅ Z axis represents the thickness/ depth of VOXEL.
✅ Depth of VOXEL is determined by the (slice thickness) as selected by the Technologist & each units is assigned a shade of Gray.
✅ It represents volume of tissue called VOXEL.
✅ VOXEL is represented by a PIXEL in a 2d reconstructed image's.
✅ VOXEL: have height, width & depth of tissue/ voxel.

CT SCAN:
PIXEL:
✅ Picture element.
✅ Square because lack of Z-axis.
✅ 2d X&Y axis.
✅X axis represents width of tissue.
✅ Y axis represents height of the tissue.
✅ It represents VOXEL .
✅ It represents physical composition of VOXEL/tissue.
✅ It represents 3d volume of tissue's in the CT Slice.
✅ It represents the information of tissue's.
✅ It represents Hounsfield unit(Hu) /Density number & CT number.
✅ It represents beam attenuation capability.
✅ It helps to diagnosis any pathologic conditions like foreign body through Hounsfield unit.
