لاکھوں مستقل وعارضی ملازمین منتظر
ماہ مئی کی تنخواہوں اور اُجرتوں کوجلد سے جلد واگزار کیاجائے:اعجاز احمدخان
سری نگر :۳۱،مئی :سینئرٹریڈیونین رہنما اور ملازم انجمنوں سے سب سے بڑے مشترکہ فورم جموں وکشمیر ایمپلائز جوائنٹ کنسلٹیٹو کمیٹیJKEJCCکے چیئرمین اعجاز احمدخان نے وزیراعلیٰ عمرعبداللہ اور چیف سیکرٹری اتل ڈولو سے پُروزور اپیل کی ہے کہ عیدالاضحی کے پیش نظر مستقل وعارضی ملازمین کے حق میں ماہ مئی کی تنخواہیں ،بلاتاخیر واگزار کی جائیں،تاکہ جملہ ملازمین اور یومیہ اجرت والوںکو عید منانے میںکسی مالی دشواری کا سامنا نہ کرنا پڑے ۔ایک بیان میں JKEJCCکے چیئرمین اعجاز احمدخان نے کہاکہ امسال عیدالاضحی ممکنہ طور پر 27مئی کو منائی جارہی ہے،اوراس مقدس تہوار کے پیش نظر سبھی لوگ تیاریوںمیں جٹ گئے ہیں ۔انہوںنے کہاکہ مختلف سرکاری محکموںمیں مستقل اور عارضی بنیادوں پر تعینات لاکھوں ملازمین عید منانے والوںمیں خوشی خوشی تب شامل ہوپائیں گے ،جب حکومت کی جانب سے اُن کے حق میں مئی مہینے کی تنخواہوں اور اُجرتوں کو27مئی سے پہلے واگزار کیاجائے گا۔اعجاز احمدخان نے اس سلسلے میں وزیراعلیٰ عمرعبداللہ اور چیف سیکرٹری اتل ڈولو سے اس معاملے میں ذاتی دلچسپی لینے کی اپیل کرتے ہوئے اسبات پرزوردیاکہ مستقل ملازمین کیساتھ ساتھ مختلف سرکاری محکموں اور اداروںمیں کام کرنے والے ایک لاکھ کے لگ بھگ عارضی ملازمین بشمول ڈیلی ویجروں ،کیجول لیبروں ،آنگن واڑی ورکروں،مالیوں،کنڈ کلیوں اور فیئرپرائس شاپ ڈیلروں کی اُجرتوںکو جلد سے جلد واگزار کیاجائے تاکہ وہ اپنے کنبوں کیلئے عید کیلئے درکار ضروری چیزیں اورسامان خریدسکیں ۔سینئرٹریڈیونین رہنمااعجاز احمدخان نے حکومت کو یاددہانی کرائی کہ مستقل وعارضی ملازمین کیلئے تخواہیں اور اُجرتیں ہی کمائی کا واحد ذریعہ ہیں اور وہ تب ہی عید کی خوشیوں میں شامل رہیں گے ،جب حکومت انسانی بنیادوں پر اُن کے حق میں جلد سے جلد مئی 2026 کی تنخواہوں اور اُجرتوں کو واگزار کرے گی ۔

Akashvani Srinagar Celebrates 90 Years of Broadcasting with Grand Musical Concert

Akashvani Srinagar organized a grand musical concert at its auditorium hall to commemorate 90 glorious years of broadcasting by Akashvani. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from artists, listeners, cultural personalities, and media professionals who gathered to celebrate the enduring legacy of radio broadcasting in the country.
The musical evening featured mesmerizing performances by noted Kashmiri musicians Waheed Jeelani, Manzoor Ahmad Shah, and Shafi Sopori, who enthralled the audience with soulful renditions of traditional and contemporary Kashmiri music. Their performances were warmly appreciated by the audience and added colour to the celebrations.
Among the distinguished guests present on the occasion were Col. Sambit Das, Anil Yadav, Anurag Bishnoi, Satish Vimal, and Abdul Rehman Bhat, besides a galaxy of renowned artists, broadcasters, former radio personalities, and admirers of the rich broadcasting heritage of Akashvani Srinagar. Their presence added further grace and significance to the celebrations marking 90 years of public service broadcasting.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurbinder Singh, Deputy Director General and Cluster Head, expressed immense pleasure over the successful celebration and highlighted the invaluable contribution of Akashvani towards nation building during the last nine decades. He recalled several important milestones in modern Indian history and observed that Akashvani has not only been a witness to these transformative events but has also played a crucial role in shaping public discourse and strengthening the democratic and cultural fabric of the nation.
Referring specifically to Kashmir, he emphasized the significant contribution of Akashvani Srinagar in preserving and promoting Kashmiri language, literature, art, culture, and music. He said that Akashvani Srinagar has established a strong network of transmitters covering the entire Kashmir Valley and areas across the Line of Control. Dr. Shahid Iqbal flags off J&K U-20 Football team for national championship
SRINAGAR, MAY 10: Commissioner Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, today flagged off the Jammu and Kashmir U-20 Football team from the TRC Football Ground, Srinagar, for participation in the prestigious Swami Vivekananda U-20 National Football Championship.
The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the J&K Sports Council, coaches, players and sports enthusiasts.
Addressing the players on the occasion, Dr. Shahid Iqbal congratulated the team and extended best wishes for the championship. He urged the players to perform with discipline, dedication and sporting spirit and make the Union Territory proud at the national stage.
The participation of the J&K team in the championship marks a significant achievement for Jammu and Kashmir Football after the team was initially omitted from the official fixtures due to administrative issues arising from the absence of an elected football body in the Union Territory.
The issue was resolved following sustained efforts and intervention by Dr. Shahid Iqbal, who actively pursued the matter with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. He emphasized that the talented footballers of Jammu and Kashmir should not suffer due to delay in conduct of elections of the Jammu & Kashmir Football Association.
The matter was also deliberated on during the recently concluded Chintan Shivir in Srinagar, where Dr. Shahid Iqbal highlighted the need for uninterrupted participation of J&K players in national competitions.
The Commissioner Secretary urged the AIFF to conduct the elections of JKFA in a limited time frame as per Supreme Court guidelines and assured full support and cooperation from J&K Sports Council.
Secretary, J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gul reiterated the commitment of the Sports Council towards the promotion and development of football in Jammu and Kashmir. He assured continued support to the players representing the Union Territory at various national platforms.

SRINAGAR, 10th MAY, 2026: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Sunday handed over Appointment Letters to the newly recruited Constables of Jammu Kashmir Police during a landmark presentation ceremony at the Armed Police Complex, Zewan.
Around 4000 recruits were selected through a transparent, merit-based process conducted by J&K Service Selection Board.
The Lieutenant Governor extended his heartiest congratulations to the new recruits and exhorted them to discharge their duties with absolute integrity, impartiality and unwavering commitment to national service.
"Joining the Jammu Kashmir Police is not merely a career choice but the acceptance of a legacy written in blood. I am confident that you will rise to the occasion and uphold the honor of this glorious force," he said.
Paying tribute to J&K Police's bravehearts, the Lieutenant Governor stated that the peace and progress enjoyed by the citizens of J&K are the results of the unwavering resolve and sacrifices made by brave police personnel.
"The Jammu & Kashmir Police stands as a testament to selfless service, duty, sacrifice and public trust. It is recognized as the benchmark of excellence in upholding the rule of law and executing counter-terrorism operations," he said.
