Osteoarthritis is a common condition that causes joint pain and stiffness and often has a negative impact on a person’s quality of life. More than 8.5 million people have osteoarthritis in the UK. Multisite peripheral joint pain is common, with the knee, hip, hand, and foot joint sites being most commonly affected. This article summarises the most recent recommendations from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guideline for the diagnosis and management of osteoarthritis. The recommendations cover all joint sites apart from spinal osteoarthritis. The update emphasises the importance of core treatments of therapeutic exercise and weight management in the management of osteoarthritis, alongside information and support and the use of pharmacological management only if needed to support non-pharmacological treatments.

SIDE EFFECTS OF TOO MUCH OF LEMON’S OR LEMON WATER ?

Laboratory Markers for Covid 19
‏Decrease lymphocyte count,albumin,hemoglobin levels
‏Increase C-reactive protein (CRP)
‏Increase Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR)
Increase Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH)
‏Increase D-dimer
Deaths from Covid-19 are due to cytokine storm syndrome & fulminant myocarditis.
During a cytokine storm, an excessive immune response ravages healthy lung tissue, leading to acute respiratory distress & multi-organ failure.
All Covid-19 patients sick enough for hospitalization should be given a serum ferritin blood test.
Elevated serum ferritin values are a good first screening tool for the possibility of a cytokine storm syndrome in sick patients with high fevers.
Treating Covid-19 infected patients with cytokine storm syndrome with IL-6 blockade (tocilizumab) has recently been reported in China with successful outcomes.
Fulminant myocarditis has also been reported in patients with Covid-19.
Fulminant myocarditis is primarily caused by infection with viruses. It arises quickly, progresses rapidly, and may lead to severe heart failure or circulatory failure presenting as rapid-onset hypotension and cardiogenic shock, with mortality rates as high as 50%–70%.
Physicians should pay attention not only to the symptoms of respiratory dysfunction but also the symptoms of cardiac injury.

HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS DAILY VARIATIONS?
Do not Blame the Laboratories?
Need to interpret wisely..
Hemoglobin levels are more in the Morning & in winters,more in early diabetics,more in smokers & in dehydration, in early stages of any major bleed because of hemoconcentration or loss of plasma.
Hemoglobin doesn't fall in pregnancy from previous levels but it is because of hemodilution as plasma volume increases by 11 litres near term.
Hemoglobin levels are lower in the evening & in summers,after well hydration.
One time Hemoglobin levels detection must not be finalized if in doubt.
Improper sample collection,proper mix or shaking or taking sample from the Intravenous lines can give false test reports.
Always Correlate clinically.
