On behalf of Srinagar Chemists & Distributors Association (SCDA) we express our sincere gratitude and thanks to Smt Lotika Khajuria, Ex-officio, President J&K Pharmacy Council, Mr Surinder Mohan, Registrar J&K Pharmacy Council and Mr Mohit Goel, Admin/Nodal Official Online Portal, J&K Pharmacy Council and Mr Pankaj Malhotra Assistant Controller
Drug (HQ)/ member JKPC for helping out thousands of unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir for giving their kind support, supervision and extra endeavour regarding grant of registration as Pharmacist and other several issues related to the practice and profession of Pharmacy in the Union Territory of J&K.
That during the challenging period in J&K, following the abrogation of Article 370 and after the implementation of J&K Re-organization Act 2019, several laws including the J&K Pharmacy Act, Svt 2011 was also got repealed by the Pharmacy Act 1948. During the above transition, matter particularly concerning the Pharmacist registration in the U.T of J&K was the major burning issue at that given point of time. The J&K Pharmacy Council at that point of time of great concern, remained a beacon of support as also guiding light, encouragement and symbol of hope for the thousands of applicants.
Their kindness, guidance, and instrumental assistance to the system were invaluable in helping the aspirants navigate the complexities and challenges which faced regarding the regulations related to the pharmacy profession.
It is our immense pleasure and honour to highlight some of the important role/assignments/work done initiated by the present J&K Pharmacy council during the regulatory transitions effected from time to time.
Creation, designing and handling of official website of J&K Pharmacy Council, i.e. www.jkpc.in
Creation, designing and handling of Online portal of J&K Pharmacy Council for the end-users for grant of registration as Pharmacist without any physical interface involved as per the checklist defined and as reported more than 28,000 applicants have been registered through the above portal under various categories.
Conducting of physical awareness programmes/camps for the end-users in an efficient and smooth manner.
Creation of helpdesk for the applicants belonging to the Jammu and Kashmir.
The J&K Pharmacy Council has a major role in identifying more than 300 fake and fabricated cases of the applicants who have applied in the online portal after getting secret/confidential reports/verifications from the concerned evaluation boards/institutions/universities and further sent to the concerned investigating agency for necessary investigation in the matter.
We have a strong reason to believe that some fake identities/people with malafied intentions are trying to defame the image/figure of officers/officials of J&K Pharmacy Council by filing verbal grievances against them which may be treated as baseless and potentially motivated by ulterior motives by those people whose applications were found fake and fabricated as mentioned earlier.
In light of stated facts, we at SCDA want to express and submits that Smt Lotika Khajuria, Ex-officio, President J&K Pharmacy Council, Mr Surinder Mohan, Registrar J&K Pharmacy Council and Mr Mohit Goel, Admin/Nodal Official, Online Portal J&K Pharmacy Council.
J&K Pharmacy Council had done a astonishing work to strengthen the J&K Pharmacy Council and also done justice for the welfare of unemployed youth for grant of registration as Pharmacist due to their unblemished record and profound dedication to their work.
We respectfully urge to the competent higher authorities on behalf of Srinagar Chemists and Distributors Association as a strong voice of the Jammu and Kashmir, muscularly desires/wishes that the present J&K Pharmacy Council with current functionaries shall remain continue to serve as a guiding light, support and help the aspiring candidates for want of their all regulatory clearances/grant for registration as Pharmacist for both Jammu and Kashmir valley for the welfare of the end-users as per the past practice in the largest interest of the Pharmacist profession.
There may be some miscreants who want to defame the work of the council and the association will take strict action against those people.
