Our first story comes from an esteemed medical practitioner who has been with ASG since the time we really started dreaming of changing the world. Several years ago, in conversation Dr.Himanshu Shekhar casually mentioned the fast changing landscape of technology and his words have now become reality.

The last couple of generations remember weighing themselves on railway stations, but they will eventually have memories of getting detailed Al powered eye check ups in the mall on a random Sunday afternoon.

Celebrating 20 Years of ASG Eye Hospital

Two decades ago, ASG began with little more than an idea that quality eye care should not be confined to big cities or privileged corners of the country. What followed was a journey shaped by grit, quiet conviction, and thousands of moments that reminded us why this mission mattered.

From that first small centre to more than 175 centres across 95+ cities, every step forward was a leap of faith. Each new department, every advanced technology we introduced, every specialist who chose to join us - they were all decisions rooted in the belief that someone, somewhere, deserved better vision and a better chance at life. And over time, these decisions transformed ASG into a place where more than 3 crore people have found clarity, comfort, and renewed confidence in their sight.

As we mark 20 years today, we find ourselves looking back not at numbers, but at the lives touched, the trust earned, and the families who walked in with uncertainty and left with hope. To our doctors, our teams, and every patient who placed their faith in us - thank you for shaping this remarkable journey.

Here's to the past that built us, the present that strengthens us, and the future we are just getting started on.

Today's story comes from a dreamer who has been with ASG since day one. Its a surreal experience to listen to someone like Dr.Vikas Jain who remembers the days when surgeons travelled overnight from Jodhpur to Paota, (a small suburb) where patients waited outside the hospital for several hours in the blazing sun or the unforgiving cold for even a follow up appointment.

From that memory to today, where patients sit in air conditioned lobbies. They're operated in OTs that maintain the strictest medical protocols, are treated by world class surgeons and have the best surgical options available along with insurance facilities. They are treated like family, because they are. They're the family that helped ASG take off to soaring heights.

+This Diwali, we brought light back to over 500+ lives through our nationwide initiative, offering free treatment to those suffering from firecracker-related eye injuries. Our dedicated medical teams worked tirelessly round-the-clock to treat corneal burns, foreign body injuries, carbide gun injuries and vision-threatening trauma, ensuring timely intervention and specialized care for every patient who walked in.
