This 'malkin' is a successful actor as well as a serial entrepreneur who runs a 50 CR hair-care business. Here's more about her journey:
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Parul Gulati, and I was immediately struck by her warmth - she greeted everyone with a bright smile.
Parul is more than just a celebrity now; she's a shining example of the new entrepreneurial spirit of India.
And as an entrepreneur and business enthusiast, I'm always inspired by stories of 'faadu' founders like her.
Despite coming from a lower middle-class family, where conventional 9-to-5 jobs were the norm, Parul's rebellious spirit and determination saw her pursue an acting career.
Parul's journey from Rohtak to Mumbai in 2010 to pursue acting was difficult but she believed in herself.
Fortunately, it worked out for her.
After spending six years in her acting career, Parul's ambition took a new turn. She switched to entrepreneurship and this marked the beginning of a 'faadu' entrepreneur.
Here's the part of her entrepreneurial story that not everyone is aware of:
📌Despite having no background in business, she started learning about hair extensions, and in 2017, she launched Nish Hair from her living room, with her mother helping to sew the initial pieces.
She bought hairs worth Rs. 30000, and then along with her mother, spent hours stitching them.
📌The early days were tough as it took her three months to sell just three pieces of her product and during her first year, she only made 40-50K in sales.
She often found herself knocking on doors and selling products at a loss to her friends and personally visited potential customers' homes for product demonstrations, building trust and awareness.
📌After getting some traction, she leveraged her acting power and used Instagram to showcase her products, posting videos daily to engage with her audience.
And now within six years, Nish Hair has grown into a 50 crore business and established Parul as the one of the leading women in business.
