Presented with L1 VCF after fall at home
Pain (VAS-B-7) and since then not able to walk

Treated with fixation.

Patient started walking on 2nd Post-operative day without any pain (VAS-B-2)...

Compression fractures are caused by trauma, osteoporosis, infection and neoplasm.

Postmenopausal middle-aged (55-65) women go through hormonal changes which give them a higher change of developing osteoporosis.

VCFs can lead to chronic pain, disfigurement, height loss, impaired activities of daily living, increased risk of pressure sores and psychological distress.

Surgical management is recommended for a patient who has not clinically improved despite adequate conservative care.
