PREGNANCY- WHAT TO EXPECT
1 st trimester

Missed period is usually the first sign of pregnancy:)
Planned or unplanned , natural or through treatment : pregnancy will bring physical , emotional and other changes which can be a bit overwhelming.

Symptoms from fatigue to food cravings / aversion,
Breast tenderness , mood swings and sometimes just the anxiety of how the pregnancy is going to go and the list is endless .

Pregnancy if uncomplicated should be treated as a physiological state..
Most women can continue with most of the activities :)
Having said that at the other end of the spectrum some women just would not feel like doing day to day activities or just because of excessive vomiting - cannot cope up with functional activities .

Each pregnancy is different.
Physical and mental support at this time is the most important thing to be done by family ,friends and health care providers .

Sakhi women's health physiotherapy centre works exclusively for women' s health.

POSSIBLE SIGNS OF LABOR :

Closer to your due date : look out for these possible signs of labor..

Sudden urge to prepare for birthing , back ache ,drop of baby into womb, change in bowel movements ..

These can possibly happen , either of them or all of them or none of them 🤔

Labor is a natural physiological process , it starts on its own , it is instinctive 😊

WANT A HEALTHY PELVIC FLOOR ?

Stretch and release work is an important component of keeping this emotional bowl of muscle between your legs happy and healthy .

Stretch work with mindful breathing can be a beneficial tool to release unwanted trapped emotions and helps downregulate a sensitive nervous system .

As all muscles need flexibility but in a controlled manner so is the case with clever but sensitive pelvic floor .

This cannot be a substitute to medical advice as it can be a part of treatment but not the treatment in whole .

ALCOHOL ,COLAS AND CAEFFEINE ARE GREAT TO GIVE A HIGH : BUT NOT SO GOOD ON YOUR BLADDER & PELVIC FLOOR .

These drinks are diuretics which sends signals to brain to absorb less and let out more urine.

They are bladder irritants - which gives disrupted signals to bladder - in other words to have the urge to p*e before bladder is full .

Topping it up these drinks just aggrevated the already existing bladder symptoms like urgency , frequent visits to the washroom, leaks ...

Before hitting the next party..
Beware of this not so cool drinks on your bladder!

Health is precious ✨️
Make smart choices for health..
At the end we just have 1 body 🙂
