Pacifier બાળકને થોડા સમય માટે calm રાખવામાં મદદ કરે છે, પરંતુ તેનું વધુ અને ખોટી રીતે use કરવાથી health પર અસર પડી શકે છે.

લાંબા સમય સુધી pacifier નો ઉપયોગ baby ની teeth growth, feeding habits અને ear health પર અસર કરી શકે છે. સાથે proper hygiene ન રાખવામાં આવે તો infection નો risk પણ વધી જાય છે.

અંગૂઠો ચાટવું બાળકને શાંતિ અને આરામ આપે છે. સામાન્ય રીતે આ આદત સમય સાથે પોતે જ ઘટી જાય છે.
જો આ આદત 4–5 વર્ષની ઉંમર પછી પણ ચાલુ રહે, તો પીડિયાટ્રિશિયનની સલાહ લેવી યોગ્ય છે.
