During a Cesarean surgery, 7 abdominal layers are cut to safely deliver the baby.

1. Skin - The outer layer, cut just above the p***c area.2. Subcutaneous Fat - The layer of fat beneath theskin.
3. Fascia - A tough, fibrous layer that supports abdominal muscles.
4. Muscle - The abdominal muscles are separated to access the uterus.
5. Peritoneum - A thin membrane that lines abdominal cavity.
6. Uterine Muscle - The strong muscle of the uterus.
7. Amniotic Sac - This fluid-filled sac around baby.

After your baby is born, these layers are carefully repaired in reverse order.
