Diet Concepts "Diet Concepts For Healthy Living" by Dietician Kruti Desai Bad eating habits can persist for the rest of their lives.

A balanced diet is important because your organs and tissues need proper nutrition to work effectively. Without good nutrition, your body is more prone to disease, infection, fatigue, and poor performance. Children with a poor diet run the risk of growth and developmental problems and poor academic performance. Rising levels of obesity and diabetes are prime examples of the effects of a poor diet and a lack of exercise.

Dal Baffla β€” the softer, richer cousin of Dal Baati.✨

It may look similar, but unlike baati, baffla is soft, doughy, and boiled before being baked, giving it that perfect melt-in-mouth texture.
A traditional gem from the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh, this dish is comfort on a plate.

πŸ«“ Ingredients for Bafla Dough:
β€’ Bada atta / wheat flour – 3 cups
β€’ Makka atta – 1 cup (agar makka atta na ho, suji ka swap chalega)
β€’ Ghee – 1 tbsp
β€’ Haldi – Β½ tsp
β€’ Salt – as per taste
β€’ Dry dhaniya – Β½ tsp
β€’ Saunf – Β½ tsp
β€’ Water – for kneading & boiling

πŸ₯£ How to Make Bafla:
1. In a large bowl, mix bada atta + makka atta (or suji) with haldi, salt, dry dhaniya & saunf.
2. Add 1 spoon ghee and rub it into the flour.
3. Slowly add water and knead into a tight, smooth dough.
4. Heat plenty of water in a big container until it starts boiling.
5. Make small balls from the dough and gently drop them into boiling water.
6. When the bafla balls float on top, they are fully boiled.
7. Remove them and let them cool slightly.
8. Bake them in a baati oven
