Is walking harmful for your knees?
Absolutely not, even patients having arthritis should walk within their capacity. Walking builds muscles and improves joint mobility. Walking is good for cartilage health. It is a good cardio exercise also. Doctors often advise patients not to walk when their knees are sore, but that is temporary. Once patients are comfortable, they should resume walking.
