👶 Should you use a cradle for your baby?
Here’s what every parent should know before rocking their little one to sleep! 💤🛏️

💡 Cradle Basics – DOs ✅ & DON’Ts ❌

✅ A cradle can help soothe newborns and support sleep in the first 3–4 months.
✅ Ensure the cradle is stable, firm, and not too soft.
✅ Always lay baby on their back — never on the side or tummy.
✅ Stop using the cradle once your baby starts rolling or sitting (around 4–6 months).

❌ Avoid using loose bedding, pillows, or toys — risk of suffocation.
❌ Don’t use automatic rocking for long periods.
❌ Never leave your baby unsupervised in a cradle.

👨‍⚕️ .hardikrshah Tip:
“A cradle is optional — not essential. What matters most is safe sleep!”
Safe sleep = Flat surface, firm mattress, no clutter, and back sleeping.

✂️👶 Should you cut your newborn’s nails?
Yes — but carefully! 🩵
Dr. Hardik Shah shares how to safely care for those tiny, sharp nails.

🍼 Newborn Nail Facts:
✔️ Babies are often born with soft but sharp nails.
✔️ They can accidentally scratch their own face or eyes.
✔️ Nail growth is fast in the first few weeks!

✅ Safe Nail Care Tips:
🔹 Wait 1–2 weeks after birth (unless nails are very long).
🔹 Use a baby nail clipper or soft nail file.
🔹 Cut nails after a bath (they’re softer) or while baby is asleep.
🔹 Always trim straight across — avoid digging into corners.
🔹 Keep baby calm and hold their hand steady.

🚫 Avoid:
❌ Peeling or biting the nails
❌ Cutting too deep — risk of injury or infection
❌ Using adult-sized clippers

💬 Dr. Hardik Shah’s Advice:
“Tiny nails need gentle care. Trim often, trim safely!”
If you’re unsure, ask your pediatrician to show you the first time.

🚽👶 Is your child struggling to p**p?
Let’s talk about a common issue: Constipation in Children
🩺 Dr. Hardik Shah | Pediatrician

💩 How to know it’s constipation?
🔹 Painful or hard stools
🔹 Going less than 3 times a week
🔹 Bloating or stomach pain
🔹 Withholding behavior (your child avoids p**ping)
🔹 Small, pellet-like stool

📌 Common Causes:
🍞 Low fiber intake
💧 Not drinking enough water
🛋️ Lack of physical activity
🍼 Milk overload in toddlers
🚽 Withholding due to fear or pain

✅ What You Can Do:
🥦 Increase fruits & veggies (papaya, prunes, guava, spinach)
💧 Encourage more water intake
🏃‍♂️ Keep your child active
🧻 Build a stress-free toilet routine
🥣 Add whole grains and fiber-rich snacks

🚨 When to see a doctor:
• Constipation lasting >2 weeks
• Blood in stool
• Severe pain
• Poor weight gain or appetite

💬 .hardikrshah says:
“Constipation is common — but shouldn’t be ignored. Gentle lifestyle changes go a long way!”
Consult your pediatrician if it becomes frequent or painful.
