Surat Pediatric Association conducted BLS ( Basic Life Support ) course for Health Care Providers on 17 June 2018. Dr Snehal Desai was invited as a faculty to undertake the training. It was a very diverse cohort of pediatricians, gynaecologists, asesthetics, surgeons, opthalmologists and general practicioners taking part. The course was well appreciated for its meticulous planning and Hands On training with the help of manequins. A TOT ( Training of Trainers ) was also held with the purpose of taking this course to students , policemen and firefighters. Amruta hospital in association with Bhatar Ghod Dod Doctors Club conducted a very interesting Pediatric CME on 10 June 2018.
It was attended by over 100 doctors. The first talk taken by Dr Snehal Desai was "INTERPRETING FEVER " In today's era of high tech investigations how we can reach to a diagnosis based simply on the long forgotten art of "History Taking " was well elucited by Dr Snehal. Dr Kamlesh Parekh delivered a talk on a very common problem " Cough in Children " . His extensive years of experience was reflected in the various type of cough which he demonstrated and its diagnosis.
The CME was very well appreciated by all the attending doctors commenting that it was a very "Practical CME " and will certainly help them in managing their pediatric patients. . Amruta Hospital was founded in 1991 with the objective to make comprehensive and world-class healthcare service available to Indians. We aim to bridge the gap in the existing healthcare industry by empowering patients and their families to make an informed medical choice driving towards the betterment of their health. Dr. Jayesh Kothari, Laparoscopic General Surgeon has been a bright student, ever since his school days. The spark in his eyes and brilliance was hard to get unnoticed. He was crowned with the title ‘Gold Medalist’ in the final University Exam while pursuing MS (General Surgery) from SGU, Surat in the year of 1989.
Confident on his surgical skills, Dr. Jayesh laid the foundation of Amruta Hospital and started group practice. Amruta hospital in Surat wasn’t a big brand back then. During the initial days, it had mere 18 beds to serve limited number of patients.
As people starting trusting the medical facilities of Amruta, the number of patients outweighed the limited space and beds available. This is when Amruta grew bigger to accommodate 45 beds and upgraded with modern facilities, internal laboratory and medical store.
1999 was a remarkable year in which Dr. Jayesh turned his attention towards laparoscopy. He developed interest in laparoscopy after knowing about its possible advantages through workshops and conferences. This is when he undertook a certification course while continuing the practice.
With sharp learning skills, he soon gained basic knowledge of laparoscopy and moved on to pursue advance laparoscopy in the year 2005. Dr. Jayesh became an expert in inguinal hernia repair, ventral hernia repair, nissen fundoplication, enteric and peptic perforations, gastro jejunostomy, feeding jejunostomy, lap. Assisted rt. Hemicolectomy, lap. Hysterectomy.
The undying spirit to keep himself updated with new medical practices, trends procedures and technology, he started undertaking obesity / bariatric surgery. Dr. Jayesh took a step ahead towards providing best-in-class facilities to patients and for the same reason, he revised the inventory to include new surgical equipments including harmonic scalpel, enseal, advance bipolar, c arm x ray(iitv), full HD laparoscopy system plus standby in case of breakdown of one set. He worked with different surgical specialists and associate consultants to provide diverse healthcare services like orthopaedic, plastic surgery, Oncosurgery, urosurgery, ENT and Neurosurgery.
