Tamralipta Institute of Management & Technology-TIMT, Tamluk ,Purba Medinipur, proudly launched its Start-up Week (S-Week) 2024 from December 18th to December 22nd on our college campus. This initiative is part of the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) programme, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The S-Week Programme began with immense enthusiasm and was inaugurated by the esteemed Bengali writer, Mr. Abul Bashar, whose presence inspired students to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit.
Throughout this week-long celebration, many of our students showcased their entrepreneurial skills by setting up various stalls offering a diverse range of items, including delicious foods, stylish garments, and exquisite handicrafts. These ventures were operated as sole proprietorships and partnerships, providing students with firsthand experience in the dynamics of running a business.
The event culminated in a friendly competition, where Mr. Tanmoy and his team, who ran the business "Blossoming," emerged as champions and took home the coveted Champion Trophy. Meanwhile, Ms. Laboni and her team, who operated the business "Tiffin Box," were awarded the Runner-Up Trophy for their outstanding performance.
Through S-Week, our students gained invaluable insights into starting a business and effectively engaging with customers. This practical experience not only enhanced their understanding of entrepreneurship but also fostered essential skills that will benefit them in their future careers.
