১লা জুলাই, আমাদের কেমোথেরাপি ইউনিটের বার্ষিকী। এই দিনটি আমাদের জন্য একটি উল্লেখযোগ্য মাইলফলক হিসাবে চিহ্নিত কারণ আমরা এই ইউনিট প্রতিষ্ঠার যাত্রা এবং বিভিন্ন চ্যালেঞ্জ কাটিয়ে উঠতে পেরেছি। উত্থান-পতন সত্ত্বেও, আমরা এই ইউনিটটি স্থির করতে সক্ষম হয়েছি এবং আমাদের রোগীদের যারা আমাদের পরিবারের মতো হয়ে উঠেছে তাদের শীর্ষস্থানীয় যত্ন প্রদান করতে সক্ষম হয়েছি। আমাদের রোগীদের সর্বোত্তম চিকিৎসা ও দিকনির্দেশনা দেওয়ার জন্য আমাদের উৎসর্গ এবং প্রতিশ্রুতি আমাদের ডাক্তার এবং রোগীদের নিজেদের দলের অটল সমর্থনের কারণে সম্ভব হয়েছে। প্রতিদিন, এটা আমাদের আনন্দ এবং সন্তুষ্টি নিয়ে আসে যে আমরা পরিবেশন করতে পারি এবং ক্যান্সারের সাথে লড়াইরতদের জীবনে ইতিবাচক প্রভাব ফেলতে পারি। আমরা শুধু এই দিনটিই উদযাপন করি না, প্রতিটা দিনই আমাদের জন্য একটি বিশেষাধিকার যে আমাদের রোগীদের সেবা করা এবং তাদের পুনরুদ্ধারের দিকে তাদের যাত্রায় আশা ও নিরাময়ের উৎস।

It is important to show the patient that they are not alone and that we are there for them in every moment. This could mean providing a listening ear, offering words of comfort, or simply being present and offering reassurance. Our care extends beyond the patient to include their family members, as we understand that their loved one's illness can cause fear and anxiety. We strive to alleviate these feelings by providing peace of mind and ensuring that the patient and their family feel supported and cared for. Home care for a palliative patient means creating a safe and comforting environment for both the patient and their loved ones, and we are committed to doing so in every aspect of our care.

আমাদের শহর তথা মাস ক্লিনিক থেকে মিস্টার আদিত্য মান্না আমন্ত্রিত হয়েছিলেন পৃথিবীর অন্যতম মর্যাদাপূর্ণ বৈজ্ঞানিক সম্মেলন আমেরিকান অ্যাসোসিয়েশন ফর ক্যান্সার রিসার্জে অংশগ্রহণ করার জন্য। এই বিশাল সম্মেলনটি একত্রিত করেছিল হাজার হাজার চিকিৎসক ,গবেষক এবং ক্যান্সার এডভোকেট ।সকলের একত্রে নিয়েছিল ক্যান্সার গবেষণার ভবিষ্যৎ নির্মাণের প্রতিশ্রুতি ।

মিস্টার আদিত্য মান্না ওখানে আমন্ত্রিত ছিলেন নিজের গবেষণার সারাংশ উপস্থাপন করতে এবং সরাসরি অংশ নিয়েছিলেন ক্যান্সার বিষয়ক বৈজ্ঞানিক এবং সামাজিক আলোচনা। সম্মেলনে আলোচনার বিষয়বস্তু ছিল ক্যান্সার চিকিৎসায় সর্বশেষ প্রযুক্তি মিউটেশন থেরাপি জেনেটিক মিউটেশন এবং ইমিউনো থেরাপি ।উনি যেই দলে ছিলেন তার বিষয়ে ছিল 'বিবর্তনের আলোকে ক্যান্সার কে বোঝা 'অর্থাৎ "জীববিজ্ঞানের কিছুই অর্থপূর্ণ নয় যদি না আমরা বিবর্তনের আলোকে দেখি"।
উনার এই সম্মেলনে যোগদান এর কারণ প্রতিটি উন্নত চিকিৎসা সিদ্ধান্ত এবং বিবর্তন যাতে গ্রামের প্রান্তিক ক্যান্সার রোগীর কাছে পৌঁছে দেয়া যায়। এত বড় আন্তর্জাতিক মঞ্চে হাজারো মানুষের মাঝে আপনি যেভাবে আমাদের গ্রামীণ ক্যান্সারের সমস্ত কিছু উপস্থাপন করেছেন সেই জন্য আমরা সকলে আপনার জন্য গর্বিত। আশা করি আপনি আরো এগিয়ে যান এবং গ্রাম বাংলার প্রতিনিধি হয়ে আপনি ক্যান্সার চিকিৎসাকে একটি নতুন দিশাতে নিয়ে যেতে পারেন।
আপনার কাছ থেকে আমরা শিখেছি ক্যান্সার কে দেখতে হবে কেবল একটি রোগ হিসেবে নয় বরং একটি জটিল প্রক্রিয়া হিসেবে-যেখানে প্রতিটি চিকিৎসা সিদ্ধান্ত বিবর্তনের গতি ও দিক পরিবর্তন করতে পারে।

আজ শুভ নববর্ষ, বাঙালি সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য একটি বিশেষ দিন। এই উপলক্ষে, আমরা আমাদের সকল রোগী এবং তাদের পরিবারের সদস্যদের আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা এবং ভালোবাসা জানাই। আমরা আশা করি এবং প্রার্থনা করি যে তারা সুস্থ, সুখী এবং নিরাপদে থাকুন। এই দিনটি উদযাপনের জন্য, আমরা একটি ছোট অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করেছি যেখানে আমরা সৌভাগ্য এবং সমৃদ্ধির ঐতিহ্যবাহী প্রতীক মিষ্টি এবং দইয়ের হাড়ি ভাগ করে নেব। এই মাসটি ক্যান্সার নিয়ন্ত্রণ মাস হিসাবেও পরিচিত, এবং আমরা মনে করি এই রোগ সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা আনা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। তাই, আমরা হাসপাতালের সকল সম্মানিত কর্তব্যরত ডাক্তারদের ক্যান্সার নিয়ন্ত্রণ, প্রতিরোধ, স্ক্রিনিং এবং চিকিৎসা সহ বক্তৃতা দেওয়ার জন্য আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছি। এই শিক্ষামূলক কার্যক্রমের পাশাপাশি, আমরা আমাদের রোগীদের এবং তাদের পরিবারের জন্য কিছু মজা এবং আনন্দের পরিকল্পনাও করেছি। আমরা বিশ্বাস করি যে কেবল আমাদের রোগীদের শারীরিকভাবে চিকিৎসা করাই নয়, তাদের মনোবল উন্নত করা এবং গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্বাস্থ্য সমস্যা সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা ছড়িয়ে দেওয়াও অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। আমরা আমাদের দলের সমর্থন এবং নির্দেশনার জন্য কৃতজ্ঞ এবং আমাদের রোগীদের সুস্থতার জন্য এই ধরনের অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন চালিয়ে যাওয়ার আশা করি।

Moreover, positive communication can provide a sense of comfort and support to patients, helping them cope with their illnesses. It is not just about relaying information, but also about creating a positive and supportive environment for patients to feel secure and hopeful about their recovery. Therefore, communication is an integral part of medical management that goes beyond the treatment of physical ailments, as it also addresses the emotional well-being of patients.

21 February,2025 We organised a program at Betkalla Milani Vidyanikatan (H.S) to raise awareness about cancer and the importance of early screening. The event was attended by all the teachers and students, and we were honored to have Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharyya and Dr. Lalit Kumar Khanra, two renowned doctors, as our guest speakers. They shared valuable information about cancer awareness and screening, emphasizing the significance of early diagnosis. Along with the medical professionals, patient advocate Mr. Aditya Manna also spoke about the future of cancer care and how it can be a part of our profession. The main aim of our program was to promote early diagnosis of cancer and to encourage people to support and stand by cancer patients during their difficult journey. We strongly believe that besides our professional lives, it is also our responsibility to engage in social work and help those in need. As Mr. Manna rightly said, being present for a patient in their palliative state is more important than any materialistic assistance we can offer. It was a thought-provoking and inspiring event, and we hope that it will bring about positive changes in our society's approach towards cancer care.

As we come together to celebrate this day, we also honor the caregivers who tirelessly provide care and support to those in need. Valentine's Day in our ward is a beautiful reminder of the importance of love, care, and compassion in our lives, and we cherish this celebration as a way to bring people closer and create a warm and loving environment for all.
