One day free dental checkup and awareness camp was organized by Saba Dental clinic chandilora tangmarg on 24 nov 2022 .Dr saba wani the owner of dental clinic carried out a comprehensive dental checkup among the students of local school in near by tangmarg area on all the students from kinder garden to Grade 8

The main aim of the camp was to provide basic dental health education to the school children and motivate dental hygiene maintenance. This camp was carried out with the curiosity to find out the prevalence of dental diseases in primary school children with deciduous dentition and early mixed dentition. To identify the method to motivate dental health in the young generation and activate dental hygiene for the future society.
Around 50 school children were benefited from this educative and motivating dental health camp. Out of the 50 school children that were examined, 36 of them needed treatment for dental caries. Almost all of the school children needed counseling and guidance on maintaining proper oral hygiene
It was evident that the treatment needs were high in the school children and the oral hygiene seemed to be a neglected part in the school children. The motive of the dental camp was achieved to its maximum with the efforts of all the people involved.
We are Also thankful to The Headmaster of middle school hoom Tangmarg Showket sir, Sameer sir physical education teacher and other staff members who provided us utmost help for organizing this dental camp.

What is the cause of having halitosis?

The most common cause of halitosis (bad breath) is poor oral hygiene. Without proper oral hygiene — like brushing, flossing and routine dental cleanings — harmful bacteria invade your mouth and multiply out of control. This can lead to several oral health issues like halitosis, cavities and gum disease.

Halitosis (Bad breath) can also occur due to number of health related conditions,
including
1) dry mouth,
2) Poor dental hygiene
3) diabetes
4) GERD
5) stress
6) smoking
7) medication.
